On Friday, the UFC® will debut the new flyweight division beginning with a four-man tournament to help narrow down the inaugural champion in this exciting new weight class. For the top contenders in this competition, this opportunity is a long time coming and a validation of each of their journeys.

Fighting in the four-man tournament will be former bantamweight contender Demetrious Johnson, who faces former TPF champ Ian McCall in the first semifinal, and former UFC bantamweight Joseph Benavidez, who also makes the drop to 125-lbs, is set to welcome Japanese fighter Yasuhiro Urushitani to the Octagon in the other semifinal.
