On Wednesday, UFC announced that one of the big matches planned for their UFC On FOX 19 event in April has been changed.
An injury has forced MMA legend Mauricio “Shogun” Rua off of the card. Shogun was originally scheduled to compete on the show against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans.
With Shogun out, UFC has announced that hard hitting contender Glover Teixeira has stepped up on short notice and will be Evans’ new opponent.
UFC On FOX 19 takes place in Tampa, Florida on April 16th.
