As great as it is to watch the best athletes perfect their craft in dominant performances, few would disagree that the one thing that might be more entertaining is a big upset from an underdog.
Other sports have a long-standing history of epic upsets. Hockey has “The Miracle on Ice,” the NFL has the Giants surprising the previously undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl a few years go, College Football saw Appalachian State defeat Michigan, boxing’s Buster Douglas shocked Mike Tyson, and so on.
