UFC welterweight Thiago Alves says he is always motivated to fight no matter who the opponent is. ‘The Pitbull’ was very “excited” to get his first submission victory after beating opponent Papy Abedi by rear-naked choke submission Saturday night. On his weight issue from Friday, coming in one-pound over, Alves says it was just an problem with his scale not being calibrated properly, noting that he had no issues dropping the extra pound to make weight afterwards.
