Thiago Tavares injured, out of UFC Fight Night 60 bout with Nik Lentz

Nik Lentz needs a new opponent for his next UFC fight.

The American Top Team featherweight, who was scheduled to return to the Octagon in a rematch against Thiago Tavares at UFC Fight Night 60 on Feb. 14, needs a new opponent after the Brazilian was forced out of the bout with an injury.

Tavares told MMAFighting.com he has sustained another left knee injury, forcing him out of action. MMA Junkie first reported the news. This is the sixth time Tavares has had to cancel a UFC fight due to an injury.

Lentz, who fought to a draw with Tavares at UFC Fight Night 20 in 2010, hasn’t fought since a unanimous decision win over Manny Gamburyan last May. “The Carnie” was expected to meet Charles Oliveira in September, but the Brazilian was pulled from the UFC Fight Night 50 card hours before the fight due to a viral infection.

Headlined by Brandon Thatch vs. Stephen Thompson, UFC Fight Night 60 takes place at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colo.
