During the live finale of the fourteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, the promotion announced winners of $25,000 bonuses for Fight of the Season, KO of the Season, and Submission of the Season. Each award was voted on by fans over the internet. It was the first time in the show’s history that these awards were given out by the UFC.
Taking home the Fight of the Season award was a back-and-forth battle between bantamweights Dustin Pague and Louis Gaudinot. The pair fought into the second round with Team Miller’s Pague eventually submitting the Team Bisping product Gaudinot with a rear-naked choke.
The season’s KO of the Season honors were given to bantamweight finalist John Dodson for his second-round knockout of teammate Johnny Bedford. The smaller fighter connected with an uppercut that sent Bedford crashing to the canvas, earning him a ticket to the final.
Finally, the Submission of the Season was handed to featherweight finalist Dennis Bermudez. The former NCAA wrestler locked on a deep guillotine choke in the first round of his fight with Swedish-based striker Akira Corassani. The win put Bermudez in the featherweight final.
