The fight was billed as “the most intense battle of the season” and, according to most, it loved up to every word of the hype. Jessamyn Duke and Raquel Pennington scrapped, brawled, warred and every other possible synonym in a three-round war that some likened to the ever-popular Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar.
Well, fans and fighters of women’s MMA were out in force to watch and comment on the epic battle between Duke and Pennington.
Fellow TUF castmates were all over the fight.
What a fight!! These girls didn’t hit the ground once. Straight stand up war. Props to both of you. @RockyPMMA @jessamynduke #TUF18

Naturally, one of the ladies that did all the hard work chimed in as well.
Thanks for all the amazing support!! I hope that you were entertained by the fight. It was the most fun I’ve ever had 🙂 #TUF18 @TUFonFS1

Invicta President Shannon Knapp chimed in. It’s worth noting that both Pennington and Duke are actually Invicta veterans. Duke fought IFC’s second, third and fifth events, while Pennington fought at the second, third and fourth events.
Damn! Great fight! #TUF18

Knapp wasn’t the only person attached to Invicta to send out props. A slew of female fighters from both Invicta and elsewhere sent out support to both fighters.
Wow congrats @RockyPMMA great job girl!!! Hardly a scratch on you! #warrior #TUF18
