The latest pay-per-view event for the Ultimate Fighting Championship begins tonight in Texas as two UFC titles are on the line as part of the UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III event.
UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar takes on challenger Gray Maynard in a back-to-back rematch of their Draw at last January’s UFC 125 event. This marks the third meeting of the two fighters in their career.
In the co-main event, former lightweight contender Kenny Florian will attempt for a third time to capture a UFC title as he meets featherweight champ Jose Aldo.
UFC 136 is scheduled to take place on October 8 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The main card will air live via pay-per-view beginning at 9PM EST (6PM PST). Two prelim matches will be shown on live television at 8PM EST (5PM PST) on Spike TV in the U.S. and on Rogers Sportsnet in Canada (check local listings). While the rest of the preliminary card is set to stream on the web at Facebook.com/UFC at 6:10PM EST (3:10PM PST).
