Immediately after former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz and former WEC champion Carlos Condit square off for the interim welterweight title, many of the UFC 143 competitors will join UFC president Dana White at the post-fight press conference.
Saturday’s event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas will also feature heavyweight Fabricio Werdum’s return to the Octagon for a fight with Roy Nelson. Werdum reclaimed his spot as one of the top heavyweights in the world by defeating Fedor Emelianenko under the Strikeforce banner.
Additionally, rising bantamweight contender Renan Barao will attempt to make his case for a shot at the winner of a title fight between champion Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber. If Barao can convincingly defeat Scott Jorgensen, he will be more than deserving of a championship bout.
Former top contender Josh Koscheck will also try to jump back into the mix of welterweight contenders with a victory over Mike Pierce. Though Koscheck has lost twice to champion Georges St-Pierre, there is a possibility he could earn a fight for the interim title if St-Pierre suffers a setback in his recovery from a knee injury.
A live streaming feed of the post-fight press conference will be available on the above video player as soon as UFC 143 comes to an end.
