Just a few days after welterweight Matt ‘Deep Waters’ Riddle (6-3) stepped in as a replacement for injured fighter Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson (6-1), opponent Besam Yousef (6-1) has now been forced off the UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit card.

Stepping in for Yousef on less than three weeks notice will be English fighter John ‘The One’ Maguire (18-4).

Officials with the promotion announced the change today.

Riddle and Maguire haven’t been officially added to the card just yet, but are expected to appear on the Facebook streamed preliminary card.

UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit is set to take place on November 17, 2012 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event features a welterweight unification bout between Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Condit, with St-Pierre holding the edge in odds makers eyes.

Maguire is 2-1 in the Octagon and enters this bout on a loss following a decision defeat against John Hathaway last month in England at UFC on FUEL TV 5. That loss ended a seven fight win streak for the English fighter. ‘The One’ earned wins over DaMarques Johnson at UFC on FUEL TV 2, via submission, and a decision victory against Justin Edwards at UFC 138.

Riddle is coming off a 90-day retroactive suspension following a positive test for marijuana following a win at UFC 149. The Calgary commission overturned the submission victory into a No Contest versus fighter Chris Clements. That change puts ‘Deep Waters’ record over his last four at 1-2 (1NC). Riddle’s last win came in February at UFC 143 with a split decision over Henry Martinez.
