UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez (9-0) is currently recovering from surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder, he’s hoping to later this year to defend his title against the winner of the battle between Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos.

In the meantime the UFC title holder remains busy with upcoming appearances at a Golden State Warriors NBA game and the one year anniversary for the UFC Gym.

Velasquez will appear this Friday as part of a post-game Q&A at a Warriors vs. Bobcats game as part of a Latino Heritage Night. Then on Saturday he and fellow teammate Josh Koscheck will make an appearance at the UFC Gym in Concord, CA to celebrate the gyms one year opening.
