Fans had been asking for it and speculating on it, and now they have it.

The first international season of The Ultimate Fighter will likely air on Fuel TV.

The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil is the first international season of the show, and it will be coached by former light heavyweight champion Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort and Pride legend, “The Axe Murderer,” Wanderlei Silva.

In an interview with ESPN 1100, UFC president Dana White said,

“The deal isn’t 100-percent done yet, but I’m so confident it’s going to happen I’ll give it to you guys. ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ Brazil will air on Fuel TV.”

It was being said that over 25 percent of Fuel TV programming will be UFC related. If that includes the international seasons of The Ultimate Fighter, that number could go up quite a bit.

For this season, the call went out for lightweight and middleweight fighters. However, it’s possible that only one of those weight classes ends up getting chosen to be featured on the show.

For Dana White, this is one step closer to realizing his dream of an “Ultimate Fighter World Cup.”

For those who are wondering, TUF: Brazil will air entirely in Portuguese and will be subtitled in English.
