Jim Miller and Nate Diaz are all set to square off Saturday night on FOX. The card begins at 8 p.m.

Even though this isn’t a major fight, it should still pack a big punch and leave fans happy. Of course, if you root for the guy who ends up losing, then obviously you’re not going to be all that pleased.

Still, as a whole, UFC fans ought to be thrilled for this fight, as both competitors are in dire need of a victory in order to reach a title bout. That means both will come out strong, looking to dominate as much as possible.

This could easily lead to mistakes, resulting in the heavy blows that fans love to see.

Diaz has won two fights in a row now, but extending the win streak won’t be easy. Miller is determined to shut Diaz down and put a stop to his surging momentum in the lightweight division.

Look for Miller to use his grappling skills and try to keep this fight on the ground as much as possible. He has to play to his strengths for a victory, and using his wrestling talents to get the job done is the best approach.

For Diaz, he’ll hope to remain standing and use his relentless striking skills to quickly pulverize Miller. He’s clearly the better striker, which is why he has a tremendous chance winning this big bout.

However, I’m going with Miller to get the victory via submission. Diaz will be swinging too hard and Miller will catch him off guard, taking him to the mat and ending it with a rear naked choke.
