The UFC on Fuel TV 8 main event will feature Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann in their returns to the light heavyweight division.
Silva’s career is coming to a close, so cutting to 185 pounds is no longer a necessity. Meanwhile, Stann is in need of a win over a big name in order to get back on track toward contending for the UFC middleweight title.
In addition to the 205-pound main event, an important heavyweight bout will be contested between Stefan Struve and Mark Hunt. Struve is currently considered one of the top 10 UFC heavyweights and will try to maintain that standing against Hunt, who has been out of action for 12 months.
The fight card also features Diego Sanchez’s return to lightweight for a bout with Takanori Gomi and a clash of middleweight contenders Hector Lombard and Yushin Okami.
After the event concludes, Silva, Stann and several more of the night’s competitors will likely join Dana White for a post-fight press conference. A live-streaming feed of the press conference will be available on the video player above, so make sure to tune in.
