Wanderlei Silva is known for taking part in some of the most intense staredowns in MMA history.
Though he’s lost the aura of invincibility he had during his Pride FC days, there was still a sense of excitement when “The Axe Murderer” stared daggers in the direction of Brian Stann at the UFC on Fuel TV 8 weigh-ins, which took place in Silva’s old stomping grounds of Japan.
Both Silva (204 pounds) and Stann (206 pounds) hit their marks on the scale, making their light heavyweight bout official for Saturday’s main event at the Saitama Super Arena.
Silva versus Stann is part a six-fight main card that will be aired on Fuel TV at 10 p.m. ET.
