Earning “Fight Night” bonuses for their work during Wednesday nights UFC on FUEL TV: Munoz vs. Weidman event, were Chris Weidman, Alex Caceres, James Te Huna and Joey ‘The Mexicutioner’ Beltran.

UFC president Dana White announced the winners, awarding each fighter $40,000.

UFC on FUEL TV 4 took place on July 11, 2012 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. White also announced the gate totals for the television event, reporting an attendance of 4,250 for a live gate of $163,495.

Earning the “Knockout of the Night” was main event winner Chris Weidman, who stopped opponent Mark Munoz with an elbow in the second round. Weidman controlled virtually all of the first round after taking ‘The Filipino Wrecking Machine’ to the mat. Then in the second as Munoz threw an overhand right, Weidman ducked while throwing out a right elbow which landed square with his opponents forehead. Munoz immediately dropped to the mat and was force-fed several right hands in a late stoppage by the referee. Weidman is so far undefeated in his career.

“Submission of the Night” went to ‘Bruce Leeroy’ Alex Caceres who also managed to keep his job after finishing Damacio Page in the final bout of the Facebook prelim stream. Page kept things on the mat for the first, and part of the second, controlling from top position. All the while, Caceres worked for a submission and was finally rewarded by sinking in a triangle choke submission to force the tap at 1:27 of the second.

Winning the “Fight of the Night” bonus were light heavyweights James Te-Huna and Joey Beltran, who returned to the UFC after a one bout absence. This was Beltran’s debut at 205-lbs and many expected the match to end early, instead of going the full three rounds like it did. Both fighters traded big punches throughout with Te-Huna scoring the early in the first but unable to finish Beltran. ‘The Mexicutioner’ would look to rally late in the third but it wouldn’t be enough losing to Te-Huna by scores of 30-26, 30-27, and 30-27.
