Plenty of aspiring fighters never make it to the big show. And even when they do, they’ve likely dealt with constant pressure from family and friends who don’t believe getting punched in the face is a good way to make a living.

But there comes a moment in the career of every fighter when a realization hits them: They might actually be good enough to do this fighting thing in the UFC.

Bleacher Report caught up with several UFC stars, including Phil Davis and Sara McMann, to find out the moment they realized they were good enough to compete with the best in the world in the UFC.
