After 14 years, UFC legend Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is finally going to tussle with ‘Titties.’

Four years removed from his last bout against heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko under the Bellator MMA banner, ‘Rampage’ will return to the cage for one more fight for the United Fight League this December. No official date has been revealed, but during an appearance on the JAXXON podcast, Jackson revealed that he would be facing Darrill Schoonover. Ultimate Fighter fans will affectionately remember Schoonover as ‘Titties,’ a nickname given to him by the former 205-pound champ.

“The promotor [of UFL] wanted me to fight. I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll come back and fight grudge matches only.’ So, I’m going to fight ‘Titties’ from The Ultimate Fighter. He just signed the contract yesterday or today for December,” Jackson said. ‘Yeah, I’ll be in shape. By that time, I’ll be 230, hopefully, and I’ll fight ‘Titties.’”

Rampage’ signed on as a coach for the 10th season of the long-running reality series in 2009, coaching opposite Rashad Evans. Jackson regularly bullied Schoonover by calling him ‘Titties’ throughout the season. Things reached a boiling point between the two when Jackson grabbed Schoonover’s chest, causing Schoonover to shove him.

‘Rampage’ Reveals How He Got ‘Titties’ to Sign on the Dotted Line

‘Rampage’ took the incident a little too personally and has held onto the grudge for more than a decade. 14 years later, the two will settle things inside the UFL cage. As for how Jackson managed to get Schoonover to sign on the dotted line, he said:

“The way I got ‘Titties to fight was, I told him: ‘Look, if you beat me, I will never call you ‘Titties’ again, and he was like okay, let’s do this.’…Titties is gonna lose.”

Jackson walked away from the sport in 2019 following an appearance at Bellator 237 in Saitama, Japan. He competed in 52 career fights in some of the world’s biggest combat sports organizations, including PRIDE and the UFC. During his 20-year run, ‘Rampage’ captured the UFC light heavyweight title and earned wins over some of the biggest names in the game, such as Chuck Liddell, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua, Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva, and Lyoto Machida.

Rory MacDonald met a harsh reality when he was thoroughly beaten by middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi in the main event of last night’s (Sept. 29, 2018) Bellator 206 (highlights here) from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

Mousasi dominated the action from the very beginning. Overall, he poured out precious little offense. He simply appeared overmatched by the larger ‘Dreamcatcher.’ Mousasi used his patented accurate jab to batter and bloody ‘The Red King’ in the first.

In the second, Mousasi’s edge on the ground became violently apparent. He achieved mount and rained down endless bludgeoning strikes on his welterweight foe. The referee had to stop the fight.

Its a massively disappointing set of circumstances for the welterweight champion. However, he’s not going to make any excuses for the loss. MacDonald reacted to his loss to ‘The Dreamcatcher’ on Twitter today. In the reaction, he said he didn’t show up mentally and froze. He gave all credit to Mousasi and made no excuses:

He said he just wanted to update his fans on why he lost in such dominant fashion. MacDonald thanked his fans for all of their support:

The Bellator welterweight ruler will regroup. He’s scheduled to take on onetime UFC contender Jon Fitch. The two will meet in the opening round of the Bellator World Welterweight Grand Prix.

He should have an easier matchup due to Fitch’s more similar size. A return to the top could come as a result. GSP’s protege is far from done.

Surging future star Aaron Pico picked up his fourth straight knockout win (highlights here) by defeating veteran Leandro Higo at last night’s (Sat., September 29, 2018) Bellator 206 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

After losing his pro debut at Bellator 180 in June 2017, Pico has looked like a man possessed. He’s run through every one of the opponents Bellator has put in front of him. Not one of the fights has left the opening round.

The sky is obviously the limit for the 21-year-old prospect. It looks like he’s aiming for the top of the food chain already, however.

Pico discussed his words to current featherweight champ Patricio Freire after his win at Bellator 206. Asked what he said to Freire, Pico revealed at the post-fight press conference via MMAjunkie that he told the champion his time was coming:

“Your time is coming. It’s a new generation of young fighters, and the clock is ticking down for him,” he said at the event’s press conference. “Every day he goes and trains, there’s a guy like me just waiting to get a shot at him and take his belt. That’s just how it goes.”

The nature of the fight game is a cold, patient beast. Indeed there’s always a hungry young contender waiting to rise up and take the king’s throne.

Pico is that fighter – perhaps more than any other rising contender in MMA right now. But while it seems he may be aiming for the fences by calling out the current champ, Pico knows he has to focus on getting better. That won’t happen in just one fight:

“My whole job is just to progress as a fighter,” Pico said. “That’s so important to me right now. I’m very young in my career. I have a lot of things to work on.

“Being the best fighter doesn’t happen overnight. It takes many years. But all I can do is progress and take each fight as it comes.”

He appears to have the mindset of a fighter much older than his years. Freire could be an option for Pico soon, yet maybe it shouldn’t be in his very next fight.

Pico knows he has all the time in the world. He’s only getting better, too, so the future is more than bright for MMA’s fastest-rising star. How long do you think it’ll it take for him to rise to the pinnacle of the sport?

Last night’s (Sat., September 29, 2018) Bellator 206 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California, was one of the best cards in promotional history on paper.

With the results now in the books, it’s safe to say the event delivered on that lofty promise due to the sheer amount of action involved.

Gegard Mousasi dominated Rory MacDonald to retain the middleweight title (highlights here) in the main event. Rampage Jackson finished Wanderlei Silva (highlights) to even their four-fight series at two wins apiece.

Douglas Lima got the Bellator World Welterweight Grand Prix off to a great start by submitting Andrey Koreshkov. And finally, Aaron Pico continued his meteoric rise with another brutal first-round KO (watch it).

The Gegard Mousasi vs. Rory MacDonald main event of tonight’s (Sat., September 29, 2018) Bellator 206 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California, was supposed to be a closely-matched super fight between two champions.

It seems like it turned out to be anything but.

Middleweight champion Mousasi therefore proved he was simply a class above welterweight champion MacDonald by dominating him from pillar to post. ‘The Dreamcatcher’ popped his patented jab with ruthless efficiency in the first round, bloody a statuesque MacDonald who did next to nothing.

The second round was where it ended. MacDonald rolled for what looked like an attempt at a kneebar and Mousasi reversed. He began raining down vicious elbows and punches, dominating the fight thanks to his size and skill. Mousasi mounted MacDonald with ease and dominated him with ground and pound.

The referee had no choice but to stop the action because of his relentless onslaught. MacDonald had no answer for Mousasi at Bellator 206. Watch the full fight video highlights of his lopsided victory right here:

If you asked, many MMA fans wouldn’t be surprised to see Rampage floor Wanderlei Silva in the co-main event of tonight’s (Sat., September 29, 2018) Bellator 206 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

Those fans making that pick did not end up disappointed.

The two MMA greats met for the astounding fourth time at Bellator 206. The fight saw both fighters unload their usual looping punches in an effort to knock the other one out. But it was Jackson who was the more aggressive fighter. He stalked Silva throughout the fight and landed the more effective punches.

In the end, he floored “The Axe Murderer” with a monster right hand and poured on some ground and pound to earn the stoppage in the second round. Rampage evened his series with Silva at 2-2 with the win.
