Heading into UFC: Rio, there is one fighter that people haven’t given much of a chance against his opponent: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.  The general consensus is that Brendan Schaub will continue to do as he has been doing, and will knockout Nogueira.  The Brazilian has lost two of his last three fights by knockout, so this might seem like a safe bet.

However, Nogueira isn’t going to make this an easy fight for the young fighter.  Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is a veteran of 40 fights.  He has taken part in more than a fair share of memorable MMA moments, and is one of the best heavyweights in the history of MMA.  He has been on a bit of a decline since entering the UFC, but he has been written off far too easily.  He still has the skills needed to beat Schaub, and he will finish him.

UFC 134 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is one of the most anticipated fight cards of the year, if not the last couple of years.

Brazil hasn’t hosted a UFC card since October 16, 1998, when Vitor Belfort set the world on fire with his 44-second knockout of Wanderlei Silva.

The buzz around this card is incredible, as nearly every Brazilian on the roster was seemingly asking for a fight in front of their home country.

Even Royce Gracie was begging to be put on the card. There isn’t a single fight on UFC 134 that doesn’t involve at least one Brazilian fighter.

The card really only had one option on who should headline the comeback event.

That man is of course Anderson Silva. Silva has dominated the UFC since he first stepped into the octagon, and he looks to avenge one of his four defeats when he takes on heavy underdog Yushin “Thunder” Okami.

Five reasons may be too many, as all you really need is Anderson Silva, but I’m going to go ahead and give you some more, just to get you even more excited for this historic event.
