The main event of Bellator 159 will feature Darrion Caldwell and Joe Taimanglo meeting in a bantamweight title-eliminator, according to a report by Bleacher Report.

Set for July 22 from the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas, the Spike TV co-main event will include Melvin Guillard vs. Dave Rickels.

The winner of the Caldwell (9-0) and Taimanglo (22-6-1) contest will advance to face the winner of Eduardo Dantas-Marco Galvao, who meet June 17 at Bellator 156 for Galvao’s belt.

Caldwell, a former NCAA Div. I wrestling national champion, is coming off a submission win over former Bellator two-division champion Joe Warren.

Taimanglo is 5-2 since signing with Bellator, including three straight wins. Highlighting his run is a victory over Sirwan Kakai in March.

Since 2014, Rickels (17-4) has fought five times in Mulvane, going 3-1 with one no-contest. This past February, he scored a first round finish vs. Bobby Cooper.

Guillard (32-16-2) has lost three in a row and is just 1-4 with a no-contest over his last six fights spanning time with Bellator, the World Series of Fighting and the UFC.
