Some of the more notable suspensions include Patricky Freire being suspended indefinitely, pending neurological clearance. No other top names were suspended following the event.

Bellator: Dynamite 2 took place on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The prelims aired on Spike TV.com and the main card that features four bouts aired on Spike TV.

The main event was a heavyweight bout between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Satoshi Ishii while the co-main event was a lightweight title showdown between Michael Chandler and Patricky “Pitbull” Freire. The other two MMA bouts on the main card were Matt Mitrione (9-5) vs. Carl Seumanutafa and Ilima-Lei Macfarlane vs. Rebecca Ruth.

Here are all of the medical suspensions:

Patricky Freire: Suspended indefinitely, pending neurological clearance. Additionally, suspended 90 days.

Carl Seumanutafa: Suspended 60 days.

Nicole Smith: Suspended 30 days.

Lee Burns: Suspended 30 days.

Tyler Claussen: Suspended 60 days.

Chris Heatherly: Suspended 60 days.

Justin Robbins: Suspended 30 days.

Isao Kobayashi: Suspended 60 days

Mike Estus: Suspended 30 days

Garrett Mueller: Suspended 30 days

Although the return of Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson wasn’t what we anticipated, the ex-UFC champion and Pride FC veteran nonetheless picked up a needed win over Satoshi Ishii. UFC heavyweight veteran Matt Mitrione was back, fighting under the Bellator banner after numerous pay and contractual disagreements with Zuffa. Knocking out some dude called Carl, Mittrione was instantly booked in aainst Oli Thompson for Bellator 158 in just three weeks.


In one of the more shocking results of the evening, Hisaki Kato took on Joe Schilling in the kickboxing ring. Although Kato owns a stunning MMA KO over Joe in their first fight, many believed Schilling would win in his prefererd field of kickboxing. It did not happen.

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Friday, June 24th, 2016) will come in the form of Bellator: Dynamite 2. Headlining the card are Quinton Jackson and Satoshi Ishii, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the rest of the main card.

Michael Chandler and Patricky Freire meet in a lightweight title fight in the co-main event of Bellator: Dynamite 2.

Ilima MacFarlane and Rebecca Ruth met in a women’s flyweight bout. After a lackluster first round, the finish of the fight was solid. In round 1, Macfarlane shot in for a double takedown, but Ruth stuffed it. Macfarlane took her down for a moment, but Ruth got back to her feet. Macfarlane presses her up against the fence and lands some good shots. Ruth landed some elbows while in this position. Not a ton of action. In round 2, Macfarlane took her down and got her back. Macfarlane worked for the rear-naked choke and locked it in, but Ruth got out of the submission. Macfarlane worked her over with strikes from back mount. Macfarlane locked in the rear-naked choke for the win.

Opening the Bellator: Dynamite 2 main card on Spike TV was Matt Mitrione vs Carl Seumanutafa in a heavyweight bout. This one could have turned out bad for Mitrione’s Bellator MMA debut. Seumanutafa dropped him with a right hook and Seumanutafa swarmed him with strikes. Seumanutafa took his back. Mitrione transitioned to top control in guard. Mitrione landed some good shots from the top. Mitrione stood up and went for a flying strike and finished him with it in the very first round.

Rampage To Fight Satoshi Ishii In Bellator Return At “Dynamite 2” On 6/24

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will make his Bellator MMA return on June 24th.

The former UFC star, who recently returned to the Bellator MMA promotion, will make his return inside the cage against Japanese Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will make his Bellator MMA return on June 24th.

The former UFC star, who recently returned to the Bellator MMA promotion, will make his return inside the cage against Japanese Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii.

Rampage last fought at UFC 186 in April of 2015, defeating Fabio Maldonado via unanimous decision. He is currently riding a four fight win streak.

Ishii last fought at the Rizin FF event in December of 2015, losing via knockout to Jiri Prochazka in the first round. Prior to that loss, he was riding a two fight win streak.

The Rampage-Ishii bout will take place at the Belaltor Dynamite 2 event, which is scheduled for the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on June 24, 2016.
