It appears fans will have to wait even longer for former UFC star Paige VanZant to return to the BKFC squared circle, as the celebrity model-slash-fighter recently injured herself performing a stunt for her Instagram page.

Paige VanZant hasn’t fought in well over a year, where she dropped her second-straight defeat to former foe Rachael Ostovich under the BKFC banner. The two fought in January of 2019 for the UFC, VanZant picking up the second round submission (armbar) victory, before she lost a unanimous decision to Ostovich in their rematch at BKFC 19 in July of 2021.

She has since appeared in professional wrestling organization AEW a few times, and she’s also become quite successful on social media.

We’ve all been awaiting her return, but we’ll have to wait a little bit longer, as VanZant broke her foot whilst leaping into a bed of snow. See video of stunt here, and see video of her at the hospital here.

VanZant was in Anchorage, Alaska when she attempted the stunt that broke three bones in her foot, most notably the metatarsal.

This injury will keep her on crutches for a while, but she won’t be hurting financially. She has stated that she made more money with her BKFC contract than her UFC contract, and she also stated that she makes more money with OnlyFans that she does with BKFC, which isn’t surprising when you consider she has 588,000 subscribers on the platform.

Life has a funny way of working out sometimes.

Paige VanZant was one of the hottest prospects in the entire sport of MMA for a time there. She went 6-1 through her first seven bouts, 7-1 through her first eight if you count her lone amateur win, before she’d go 2-4 over her next six en route to her exit from the UFC.

VanZant has since gone 0-2 through two bare knuckle boxing fights.

Would you like to see Paige VanZant return to MMA or bare knuckle?

Conor McGregor may be among those who took Perry’s knockout loss to Jake Paul the roughest, publicly trashing both men before and claiming that “Platinum” will be released by the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

McGregor, who became a part-owner of BKFC a couple of months ago, fired off the posts on X (formerly Twitter) moments following Perry being stopped by Paul in their headlining boxing match at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday night.

Perry was dropped twice in the opening two rounds, and while he tried to walk through Paul’s punches and walk the ex-Disney star down, Paul’s power and technical skills were just too much.

After getting dropped in the sixth round, Perry made it back to his feet but stumbled, forcing the referee to wave off the fight.

Perry Hits Back AT BKFC Part-Owner McGregor: ‘He Can’t Fire Me!’

Perry was asked about McGregor’s actions during his post-fight press conference. He claimed the Irishman has no power to release him. Perry even offered to settle the differences in the BKFC ring.

“Me and him are both co-owners of BKFC,” Perry said. “So he can’t fire me. We can fight in Bare Knuckle. Look at me, I lost to Jake Paul. Why don’t you go fight Jake Paul in boxing with gloves on? I think it would be worse than Conor McGregor vs. [Floyd] Mayweather.”

McGregor’s post made reference to Perry announcing the formation of Dirty Boxing Championship, a promotion that will mix in boxing and ground-and-pound mechanics.

Perry is BKFC’s “King of Violence” and has amassed a 5-0 record in the organization since coming over from the UFC in 2021.

McGregor’s return to the UFC is still to be determined, meanwhile, after a planned comeback against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 was scrapped. The current rumor is the bout will be rebooked for UFC 310 in December.

Conor McGregor Says Competing In BKFC Could Be An Option After UFC Run

Conor McGregor has completed his first press conference for BKFC since becoming a part-owner of the promotion in April.

He spoke ahead of BKFC 67 where “The Notorious” seemed to suggest that part of his investment in this company could see him take off the gloves and jump in the ring.

McGregor, who is still expected to make his long-awaited UFC return later this year against Michael Chandler, told the media that he has two fights left on his current deal.

Referring to the fighters that are set to compete on October 12 in Marbella, he said that he’s not just here to talk about these athletes but potentially mix it up with them also.

“For me, I’ve a bit of business left with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, two fights left on my contract but for sure, we’ve got three lightweights up here on the deas and you know I have my eye on all of this. I’m not up here just as an owner, player-manager I’ll title myself on this one.”

Magomed Ankalaev Recalls Heated Sparring Session With Francis Ngannou

During a recent appearance on the Badaev Podcast, light heavyweight contender Magomed Ankalaev told a story about an encounter that he had with Francis Ngannou.

Ankalaev claims that the two men sparred with one another some time ago until the former UFC heavyweight champion started to become overly aggressive towards him.

He was left with no option but to try and avoid any danger by grabbing hold of his sparring partner until the end of the round.

Ankalaev also states that he believes the reason Ngannou was going so hard at him in sparring was because he had knocked out one of his friends back in 2019.

“I saw that [Ngannou] wanted to drop me. He was generally aggressive. I quickly went to his feet, put him down and held him. I was waiting for the time to run out so I could say ‘don’t come near me again’. Then we found out the reason – it turns out he is a friend of [Dalcha] Lungiambula whom I had knocked out before.”

Chris Curtis Calls To Fight Paulo Costa And Says It Will Be Much More Entertaining Than Costa’s Fight With Sean Strickland

Chris Curtis is continuing to call for a fight with former middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa for his next outing.

In a recent interview on MMA Junkie Radio, “Action Man” said that a match-up between himself and Costa would be a much more entertaining affair than Costa’s last outing against Curtis’s friend and teammate, Sean Strickland.

Curtis reflected how he studied “Borrachinha” extensively for that fight but the styles simply didn’t gel well in the co-main event of UFC 302.

He believes that he and Costa would make for a far better watch because unlike Strickland, he will be willing to stand in front of the Brazilian to trade strikes.

“I cornered Sean that fight. When he took that fight…I literally went back, watched all of the Costa fights, and I had like a freakin’ four-page bulletin report on what to do…everything that Costa does, when he does it, why I think he does it,” Curtis said. “I just think it’s a fight that I match up well with.

“Costa’s usually a really fun guy to watch but the Strickland fight was just weird for him because Sean’s a weird guy to fight,” Curtis continued. “I think me and Costa, I think we can just sit there and beat on each other until somebody falls, and I’m okay with that. Sean doesn’t want to fight that way. He’s not trying to get his head bust in. I will gladly stand in front of you and we will just swing at each other.”

BKFC expect to make formal offer to ex-UFC star Nate Diaz: ‘The money is on the table for him’

BFKC leader, David Feldman has once again stressed the promotion’s interest in signing UFC alum, Nate Diaz to a contract with the bare knuckle fighting organization, insisting funds will be made available to sign the Stockton native ahead of a planned meeting with his management.

Diaz, a former lightweight title challenger under the banner of the UFC, recently became an official free agent following a storied and legnhty spell under the Zuffa LLC banner – most recently competing in September of this year.

Headlining UFC 279 against former interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson in an impromptu welterweight main event, California veteran, Nate Diaz secured a fourth round guillotine choke win, snapping a two-fight losing skid.

In the time since his contractual obligations with the organization were met, Nate Diaz had been linked with multiple outings in other combat sports, including a professional boxing debut against Jake Paul.

And with rumblings of an incoming decision on his fighting future, Diaz garnered the attention from the above-mentioned, Feldman – whom expressed his interest in discussing terms with the fan-favorite.

“The money’s on the table for him [Nate Diaz],” David Feldman told MMA Fighting during a recent interview. “It’s just a matter now of does he want to fight bare knuckle? That’s all it really is. I’m confident he can make more money with us than he can anywhere else, even fighting Jake Paul. Because if you know what he’s been paying those guys, they’ve been making decent money, don’t get me wrong. The pay-per-views have been doing decent and he can get some upside but I think if he fought a guy like Mike Perry with bare knuckles, I think that’s probably his most popular option out there that he’s going to get the most eyeballs on that.”

“We’re definitely scheduled to take next week and we’ll see if we can lock that down,” Feldman explained. “It’s a goal of mine and sometimes when I put goals in front of me, I don’t let anything stop me from getting there so I hope that’s one of them as well.”

In addition to Nate Diaz, Feldman also revealed the promotion were looking at another UFC veteran, in the form of former lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez, who recently departed ONE Championship.

“We’re talking to [Eddie Alvarez],” Feldman explained. “He has a couple other options on the table. It’s a hard choice for him. He’s a guy who’s a legend in MMA and going over to bare knuckle, like a lot of these guys, he’s not really at the end of his career – I’m not going to say he’s in the prime of his career but he’s not at the end where he has no other options.”

“He has options with all the other MMA organizations in the world but it is something that we’re talking about and we hope to have an answer early next week,” Feldman said. “We did our job to try to get him over to BKFC and if that works, that’s great. I like him. He’s a fellow Philly guy so that would be amazing to have someone like that on our roster but we’ll know within the next week.”

Tai Emery Flash Celebration

Australian fighter Tai Emery created one of the biggest viral moments in BKFC history when she knocked out her opponent in the first round and then flashed the audience.

The knockout and flashing video made the rounds on the MMA socials, even garnering a discussion on Joe Rogan’s show.

Tai Emery will be back in action at BKFC Asia 4 on December 10. She will be facing Thai-born knockout slugger Po Denman in Bangkok. But because of how much trouble she got in last time, Tai Emery is uncertain what will happen if she wins this time around.

Tai Emery in trouble for the flash

Thanks to numerous viewers’ complaints about Tai Emery’s flash, she got in trouble with the leader of BKFC. In an interview with MMA Fighting, the Australian fighter said:

“I will say one thing, I did get in a lot of trouble with Dave Feldman from BKFC — just for everyone that wanted to know some repercussions — I was in trouble, so thanks everyone, all you Karens, for having a little complaint. I’m sorry about that, but this is an 18+ event, so just don’t watch.”

What will happen this time? We’ll see is all she would reveal about her plans. Tai Emery explained:

“So they said that I’m going to be fined if I pull a stunt – that word has been locked in my head, because I’ve been pulled into the principal’s office once again. Nothing’s changed. I’ve been told that the stunt that I pulled will not be allowed. They’re talking millions of bahts in fines, but what’s good? We’ll see what happens.”

Fighting in bare knuckle is about freely expressing oneself, Tai Emery concluded by saying:

“That’s a sense of freedom when you can just be yourself, especially on that sort of stage. That’s a hard thing to do. I’m just going to be myself, and welcome to the s*** show, once again.” [Transcript courtesy of MMA Fighting]

BKFC boss reveals plan to sign UFC veteran Nate Diaz amid Triller partnership: ‘I want everybody’

Nate Diaz

BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) leader, David Feldman has once more echoed the promotion’s intention to discuss a deal with UFC alum, Nate Diaz, claiming that the organization intend to add to their roster considerably when their partnership with Triller goes public at the end of this year.

Diaz, who has spent the majority of his storied mixed martial arts career under the banner of Zuffa LLC throughout the now-defunct, WEC, The Ultimate Fighter, and the UFC – ended his stay with the Dana White-led promotion in September of this year.

Completing his contractual obligations, Stockton favorite, Diaz headlined UFC 279 in an impromptu welterweight fight against former interim lightweight champion and fellow TUF winner, Tony Ferguson – wrapping up a fourth round guillotine choke victory.

Despite prior claims from both BKFC and Bellator MMA that they would be discussing the prospect of inking Diaz to a multi-fight deal in the immediate aftermath of his UFC 279 appearance, the UFC retained a exclusivity period in which they could offer Diaz a new contract if they so wished.

BKFC remain confident of securing the signature of UFC alum, Nate Diaz

However, according to Feldman, BKFC remains firmly interested in signing Nate Diaz – as soon as their deal with Triller goes public at the end of this annum, in fact.

“Realistically, I want Nate Diaz,” David Feldman told TMZ Sports during a recent interview. “We weren’t allowed to make a play for him yet because he was in that UFC [exclusivity] window. This partnership I did with Triller – when this thing goes public in late December or early January, the funding is gonna be available and I want everybody.”

“I don’t mean to sound that cocky, but I want everybody,” Feldman explained. “I will be in the business for every single free agent that ever comes to market now. That’s what’s really gonna take it for us to blow up. We’re definitely very popular around the world. People know about bare knuckle – they know BKFC. They enjoy the fights, but one or two of those names I think really catapult it.” (Transcribed by MMA Mania

Despite Feldman’s interest in signing Diaz, the veteran Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace has found himself continually linked with a crossover to professional boxing – in the form of a 2023 clash against undefeated puncher, Jake Paul since his UFC exit.
