Sean Strickland ‘not stable enough to speak’ after an interview with Brendan Schaub
Ahead of a nearing interview with Brendan Schaub, Strickland previewed the appearance on his social media accounts.
“Just finished a Brendon Schaub podcast,” he wrote. “I think this might be the last one I do… I’m not stable enough to speak.. after I awhile I start advocating for puppy murder. No further request…”
The 31-year-old chose not to comment further on his mysterious comments but one thing seemed to be clear, he has issued a warning for those who may be easily offended by some of his expected statements.
With multiple shows under his belt, Schaub revealed that Strickland appeared on his popular YouTube series, Food Truck Diaries, tweeting, “Finally got this savage on #FoodTruckDiaries Sean Strickland coming in HOT.”
Cannonier is excited to face Strickland
In a recent interview with Helen Ye, “The Killa Gorilla” heaped praises on Strickland for his antics during the UFC 276 pre-fight press conference.
“Sean was definitely being himself and pointing out the things that he saw,” Cannonier said (ht Sportskeeda). “And I definitely agree with everything that man was saying, whether it was serious or funny I was like, ‘Okay!’ You know? So hats off to you for that press conference, you were definitely the star of that press conference.”

Former UFC heavyweight contender turned podcast host and comedian, Brendan Schaub has responded to long-time friend and promotional color-commentator, Joe Rogan – who claimed he “needed a handler” for his speculation regarding last month’s UFC 270 main event, as well as slamming both Dana White and Facebook leader, Mark Zuckerberg for their private UFC Vegas 61 event last weekend.
Last month, Schaub, an alum of The Ultimate Fighter and the UFC’s heavyweight division, questioned the circumstances surrounding the short-notice UFC 279 main event between Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson, after original headliner, Khamzat Chimaev missed weight for a fight against Diaz by an egregious seven and a half pounds.
Following Schaub’s comments, the aforenoted, Rogan in jest, claimed his friend needed a “handler” amid his recent speculation and claims.
Earlier this month, the UFC and the above-mentioned, White received major flak after they refused to open their UFC Vegas 61 event at the Apex facility to fans nor media, amid rumors of a special private event for Zuckerberg.
Brendan Schaub slams Dana White and Mark Zuckerberg following UFC Vegas 61
Sharing his thoughts on the event and White’s actions, Schaub claimed the duo needed handlers themselves rather than him.
“It’s so dumb,” Brendan Schaub said on his podcast. “I didn’t talk to him about that, but first of all, he’s wrong. He’s wrong about the theory. He needs a handler. He needs someone like me around him all the time. ‘What are you gonna do? No, no, no; here’s why.’ And he’ll go, ‘Yeah, you’re right.’”
“The other thing that irks me, even more, is that Dana (White) lies about it,” Brendan Schaub explained. “And then people will get mad at me, ‘Oh, come on. You think Dana anf the UFC would actually do something like that? Brendan needs a handler.’” Do I? Or does your boy need a handler? I’m not the one playing grab ass with Mark Zuckerberg. Letting him rent out Thicc Boy Studios, shutting it down for his entertainment. You should’ve run thay by me. I don’t need a handler. These guys need a handler.”
With the organization’s decision to prevent media attendance at UFC Vegas 61, they received criticism as fighters would not be subject to post-fight media availabilities following their respective fights.
“Somebody should’ve gotten in the ear of Dana and Mark Zuckerberg, like, ‘Hey, you two rich, privileged f*cks, come over here. Do not ban the media, do not, not allow fans to attend this event. It affects the fighters.’” Brendan Schaub said.
“Just because this guy’s (Mark Zuckerberg) a billionaire and stole a f*cking app called Facebook off two twins (sic) doesn’t make this guy special,” Brendan Schaub continued. “He became a fan f*cking last week. Quit posting sh*t. You’re driving away your fanbase.” (Transcribed by Bloody Elbow)
Calling time of his professional mixed martial arts career back in 2015, Schaub bowed out following a knockout defeat against Travis Browne – boasting a 10-5 professional record.

Brendan Schaub, a former UFC fighter and currently a podcast host and comedian, recently sat down with combat sports heavyweight legends Mike Tyson and Daniel Cormier to discuss a myriad of things. During the four-hour marathon show, the question of comparing boxing heavyweight champions came up.
The question was aimed at Tyson, the host asked, “Mike Tyson in his prime vs Tyson Fury in his prime. Who wins, Mike?” Comparing the all-time great ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson with the current boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
Before the legendary boxer had a chance to answer, Schaub interjected and said, “Mike, before you answer, this is no disrespect but for me, technically-wise, Fury can go defense, his footwork is great. To me, as far as technique-wise, he is the best we’ve ever had.”
Tyson Fury comes from a family of boxing enthusiasts and is, in fact, named after the heavyweight great Mike Tyson. He is the namesake of the American boxer. Knowing this, Mike Tyson answered the question with, “Listen, just him being Tyson Fury shows my greatness.”
“I don’t know. I don’t care if he could beat me or not. His name is Tyson.” Mike Tyson has spent much of his career being compared to other heavyweight greats such as Muhammad Ali. Now, Tyson is so renowned that the current heavyweight champion is named after him, which is a mark of his greatness. ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson continued, “He can beat me, but I don’t care he is named after the greatest fighter that ever lived.” [Transcript courtesy of Sportbible]
Mike Tyson is revered as one the most formidable punchers in boxing history
‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury is unbeaten in his 33-fight career and has held numerous titles such as WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles, among others. The English-born boxer currently seems to be aiming for a match against fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua, rather than the current WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, of Ukraine.
Tyson, was a feared and powerful heavyweight boxer who earned the WBA, WBC, IBF, and The Ring heavyweight titles while being undefeated until his first career loss in 1990. Most notably, he has one of the most impressive records in boxing history with an 88% knockout win rate. In his mid-fifties, in 2020, ‘Iron’ Mike came out of retirement and had a boxing exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr.

Former UFC heavyweight contender, Brendan Schaub has unleashed a scathing response to comments from promotional president, Dana White following UFC 279 last weekend, accusing the long-time promotional leader of steroid use, as well as calling him a “bully”.
Following last weekend’s UFC 279 pay-per-view event, Brendan Schaub is alleged to have questioned the legitimacy of original headliner, Khamzat Chimaev’s weight miss for his welterweight fight with Nate Diaz, speculating how the promotion may have had a hand in the late notice switch, resulting in Diaz fighting former interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson.
Brendan Schaub accuses Dana White of steroid use in Instagram tirade
Issuing a response of his own to White, Schaub, who left the promotion following a 2014 knockout loss to Travis Browne, claimed that the aforenoted White was a “bully”, as well as poking fun at his prior career as a cardio kickboxing coach.
“Oh god… here we go again,” Brendan Schaub posted on Instagram. “I’ve been nothing but cool and through you’d (Dana White) learn from the last time you mentioned my name and got destroyed. Unfortunately, not surprised you’re a bully. Always have been. You put on a pair of designer jeans and some “hip sneakers” and think you’re cool. You’re still a dork with a frat bro vocabulary. Calling me and numerous people “dummy” “dumbass” “f*cking idiot” cause we have questions about “the chaos” at UFC 279?”
“Also, no one is talking about “gate tickets”, I was referring to “pay-per-view buys” and UFC 279 was “trending”… which you don’t release to the public, but will say, “it went f*ckin’ great bros!”” Brendan Schaub continued. “Sorry, we just don’t buy what you’re telling us after lying numerous times but the sheep media you pick to attend events don’t have the balls to call you out. Just in the recent press conference you were caught lying about extra compensation to the fighters. You need a reality check. You’re surrounded by “Yes men.” You’re not special, you’re not original Yoy’re a low-budget Vince McMahon. Every move you make is a copycat of that dude. Only thing is you have in common is you’re both on steroids and dress like assholes.”
“Need i remind you, your origin story is a failed cardio kickboxing instructor who had two rich friends in high school to fund this business,” Brendan Schaub wrote. “Now go make a “cool” video with the Nelk boys to stay relevant or have your PR team come up with a good press story to distract the fans away from fighter pay and how they have to wear those awful Under Armour Rock shoes and won’t see a dime. “Dummy”. P.S. Quit stealing my shows on thicccboy network and recreating it on Fight Pass, K? Also.. leave Pat Miletich alone.”
