If the time it took me to get out of the Honda Center parking lot after this afternoon’s UFC 121 weigh-ins was any indicator, a vast and enthusiastic mob is about to descend on Anaheim for Saturday night’s event. Expect no shortage of Mexican flags when Cain Velasquez enters, and the requisite boos when Brock Lesnar strolls in.

In other words, get ready to see the exact fan response you’d expect after the way the “Primetime” series framed the main event bout.

Now that the match-ups are set and the fighters are hunkered down in their hotel rooms until fight time, let’s take a look at how oddsmakers see things playing out on Saturday.

Brock Lesnar will weigh in at UFC 121 on Friday afternoon. All 22 fighters stepping into the Octagon at UFC 121 on Saturday night will step onto the scale at the UFC 121 weigh-in on Friday afternoon, and if you can’t be there to see it at the Honda Center in Anaheim, you can watch it live right here at MMAFighting.com.

In the main event, heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is likely to come in right at the heavyweight limit of 265 pounds, while No. 1 contender Cain Velasquez will be considerably smaller. Velasquez weighed in at 242 for his last fight, eight months ago, and it will be interesting to see whether he’s bulked up at all in preparation for his fight with the enormous Lesnar.

The weigh-in starts at 5 PM ET and the video is below.

Big DW’s latest video blog finds him doing no shortage of totally weird shit leading up to UFC 121 this Saturday. First, we get a closer look at White stumping for senate majority leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) alongside – even weirder – Chuck Liddell at a rally in Reno. A bit later, Our Fearless Leader and a few of his faithful employees get dressed up like an R&B group out to shoot the cover of their Christmas album as part of a photo-op for Playboy. (Ed. Note: CagePotato will not, we repeat not, be publishing any poor quality digital stills of this spread. We’re still hoping to rollover at least a few of our weekend minutes.)

During the rallies, White makes sure to point out to the live crowd that he’s “not very political or politically correct” (No, really?) and that he’s just there to spread the word about the importance of voting. After all, there’s nothing more American than blindly appealing to all people to “get out there and vote.” This despite the cruel reality that people who are “not very political” and/or can’t be trusted to look after their own best interests actually shouldn’t vote. That’s how people like this win elections. To his credit, Dana advises us to “do our homework” before we take to the polls, so at least his heart is in the right place. Oddly, there is no footage here of “The Iceman” addressing the political rallies. His speeches much have been too long and too nuanced to edit neatly into a 12 minute blog.

Chael Sonnen established himself as the UFC’s ultimate trash talker this summer in the run-up to his fight with Anderson Silva. But that trash talk began to ring hollow when Sonnen lost, and any talk from Sonnen at all disappeared after Sonnen got busted for steroids and completely clammed up, other than releasing a statement that he plans to appeal the positive drug test.

And now Brock Lesnar has delivered the ultimate put-down, one that even the loud-mouthed Sonnen likely wouldn’t have much to say about.

After ESPN’s Jim Rome read to Lesnar some of the trash that Sonnen has talked about the heavyweight champion, including Sonnen’s claim that “I’d slap you in your face and you wouldn’t do anything about it, Brock,” Lesnar had a simple retort: “I don’t know who he is.”
