UFC CEO Dana White gives passionate sales pitch on latest UFC sponsor.
In October of this year, the UFC announced that they had partnered with Bud Light in a five-year deal that would be worth $105 million. The deal did not come without criticism, public opinion on Bud Light had soured, particularly with their conservative customer base after working with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney.
White, who is a staunch Republican and Donald Trump supporter, would quickly come to the defence of his the promotions latest sponsor. The 54-year-old claimed he ‘didn’t give a sh*t’ what those critics had to say and that the UFC and Bud Light were ‘very aligned as far as core values go.’
Dana White claims you should be drinking ‘gallons’ of Bud Light
“If you consider yourself a patriot, you should be drinking gallons of Bud Light,” White said. “Gallons! Gallons of Bud Light! You should have Bud Light drums stacked up in your garage and drinking it right out of the keg. They are way more aligned with you than most of these other beer companies, that I guarantee you.” (H/T MMA Mania)
“I, who consider myself a patriot — I don’t go crazy over the whole patriot thing, but I consider myself a proud American,” White continued. “I’m happy to be an American, I love this country, and you are way more aligned with Anheuser-Busch than you are with other beer companies, that I guarantee you.”
While drinking gallons of alcohol is not advisable, White is certainly working for that sponsorship money.
What do you think of Dana White and the UFC’s deal with Bud Light?

Bud Light is once again the official beer of the UFC.
According to a report from ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, the multi-year contract which begins on January 1, 2024, is said to be the biggest sponsorship deal in UFC history, though no terms were not disclosed at the time of the announcement.
“Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light were UFC’s original beer sponsors more than fifteen years ago,” UFC CEO Dana White said in a statement. “I’m proud to announce we are back in business together. There are many reasons why I chose to go with Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light, most importantly because I feel we are very aligned when it comes to our core values and what the UFC brand stands for. I’m looking forward to all of the incredible things we will do in the years ahead.”
Bud Light Looks to Bounce Back from nationwide boycotts with New uFC deal
In April, conservatives across the country called for a boycott of the brand after Bud Light was featured in a social media promotion by transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Mulvaney, 26, is popular on TikTok, where she has more than 10 million followers, and documented part of her transition online in her Days of Girlhood series. Her Bud Light promotional post was less than 60 seconds and primarily advertised a $15,000 giveaway as part of this year’s March Madness. Mulvaney also brandished a tallboy can with her face on it which was never made available to the public.
Despite the very brief and harmless nature of the promotional ad, calls to boycott the product quickly followed. Music star Kid Rock famously shared a video of himself shooting a stack of Bud Light cases in support of the boycott, though he was spotted drinking the product at a concert in August.
Amid all the drama, Modelo Especial, a Mexican beer made by Constellation Brands, climbed to the top of the charts, becoming the top-selling beer in the United States. Ironically, Modelo signed a deal with the UFC in 2017 and has remained the official beer of the promotion. Until now.

The family-friendly Anheuser-Busch corporation has just been turned upside down. Former Bud Light mascot Spuds MacKenzie has been found guilty in the state of Nevada of sexually harassing multiple women while employed by Anheuser-Busch. Furthermore, Anheuser-Busch is being investigated for its role in MacKenzie’s crimes, as victims say that the harassment was not only encouraged by fellow employees, but that the victims were vehemently discouraged from filing complaints while they were employed by the company.
The charges against MacKenzie read like the sex-depraved fantasies of a thirteen year old boy. Among them include the complaints of Carol Grey, who played the role of “Hot Blond Chick” in many Bud Light commercials. Grey revealed that MacKenzie would repeatedly order her to smack him on the ass during commercial shoots, as well as force her to publically praise MacKenzie’s sexual conquests on numerous occasions.
Shocking videos of the harassment available after the jump.

A shocking video from the Anheuser-Busch archives captured the incident in question:
Notable accusations were also made by Mileena Johnson, who played the role of “Tits and/or Ass #14” throughout her career with Bud Light. Johnson accused Spuds MacKenzie of forcing her to use her breasts to massage MacKenzie’s neck, and that Spuds threatened to rape her if she didn’t comply. She claims that he told her to, in his own words, “Rub them titties on my neck or I’ll hump the shit out of your leg. And then your vagina.” Johnson also accused MacKenzie of voyeurism, although charges were eventually dropped. As with Grey, Johnson was able to use a video from the Anheuser-Busch archives to support her claims.
Spuds MacKenzie was defended by Attorney Alistair Overeem, who blamed irresponsible members of Bud Light film crews for the incidents in question. Said Alistair Overeem, Esq., “My client absolutely does not believe in, nor does he take part in, the objectification of women. At least when he’s sober.”
Attorney Overeem went on to explain that former members of Bud Light’s film crew would offer Spuds MacKenzie moonshine before shooting commercials. Spuds did not know that moonshine contained alcohol, and therefore would consume as many as seven shots of moonshine before coming into contact with his victims. While Spuds MacKenzie felt sorry that his victims had to endure months of harassment, he also recognized that the incidents were clearly not his fault. Therefore, he should not be punished in any way, shape or form for his actions.
After a Nevada state record three seconds of deliberation, the jury had found Spuds MacKenzie guilty of multiple charges of sexual harassment. However, many people were unsatisfied by what they felt was an excessively lenient punishment of nine months of probation from The Honorable Judge Christiane Santos.
“I can sympathize with being a victim of a heinous incident that tramples your basic rights as a human being,” said The Honorable Judge Christiane Santos, “but rules are rules, and sexual harassment is against them. It is neither fair nor just that people are expected to know every little detail about every single substance that they put into their bodies…”
“AMEN!” interrupted Muhammad Lawal.
“Since you never argued that you didn’t actually harass those chicks, the law says that you need to be punished. So I’m giving you nine months of probation. That seems fair. ”
While Spuds MacKenzie may have gotten off easy in court, his reputation will arguably never be restored. Immediately after the trial, Anheuser-Busch formally denounced the former Bud Light mascot and denied any involvement with MacKenzie’s harassment.
“As a family-oriented company responsible for a product that brings positive changes to society, we truly regret ever being involved with Spuds MacKenzie,” said Anheuser-Busch public relations specialist Quinton Beck. “Had we have known about MacKenzie’s behavior, we never would have allowed him to be a role model for children around the world. While nothing we can do will change the past, we are making a sincere attempt to provide children with a positive, ethical dog to encourage them to bring about social change by drinking as much Bud Light as humanly possible.”
After fifteen seconds of confused, awkward silence, Beck muttered under his breath “Responsibly, when they’re twenty one, of course.”
(“Fine. I’m going to *respectfully* get on top of my wife, okay?”)
If there’s one thing the UFC has taught us lately, it’s that rape jokes aren’t funny, especially when delivered by people with bad taste and zero comedic ability. So it was only a matter of time before the promotion’s major sponsors started getting uncomfortable. In light of new criticism from watchdog group Alcohol Justice, Anheuser-Busch (Bud Light’s parent company) released a statement warning the UFC to crack down on their employees’ insensitivity. From Advertising Age (via MMAMania):
“We’ve communicated to the UFC our displeasure with certain remarks made by some of its fighters, and they have promised to address this. If the incidents continue, we will act,” the brewer said in a statement. A-B, which did not elaborate on potential actions, also stated that it “embraces diversity and does not condone insensitive and derogatory comments rooted in ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, etc.”

Anheuser-Busch’s comments were released prior to the company’s shareholders meeting in Brussels, Belgium yesterday. Earlier this month, Alcohol Justice sent an open letter to A-B shareholders, blasting the UFC and Bud Light for “delivering harmful content to millions of underage youth,” citing the “sexist, homophobic, violent and derogatory remarks” made by some of their fighters and Dana White himself. They even criticized that Bud Light Lime ad with Arianny Celeste. (Damn killjoys. What’s wrong with being sexy?)
The UFC, which renewed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Bud Light last April, responded with the following statement to Ad Age: “With over 425 athletes on our roster, there have unfortunately been instances where a couple athletes have made insensitive or inappropriate comments. We don’t condone this behavior, and in no way is it reflective of the company or its values.”

In on-going efforts to battle with the UFC promotion, the Culinary Union issued this letter to the promotion’s biggest sponsor, the Anheuser-Busch corporation. The letter pleas with Anheuser-Busch to drop their sponsorship with the UFC promotion and cites examples of fighters and UFC president, Dana White spouting anti-gay remarks:
In recent videos, UFC light heavyweight Quinton “Rampage” Jackson repeatedly urged Japanese fans to repeat an anti-gay slur.’ The fans, who do not appear to understand English, repeated the anti-gay slur at Jackson’s urging. In one video, Jackson instructed a Japanese man to say, “Goodbye, I want you to piss on my face.”
In an expletive-filled video rant posted on YouTube.com, UFC president Dana White used an anti-gay slur, saying, “Whoever gave you that quote is a [expletive] and a [expletive] faggot and a [expletive] liar and everything else. He also uttered the “F” word a total of 34 times, the “S” word 4 times, and referred to a female sports journalist as a “[expletive] dumb bitch.”
According to the Los Angeles Times, “Rampage” Jackson shouted “every conceivable gay slur” at a movie crew member of “The A-Team” who had called him a homophobic epithet. He was also quoted in the article saying, “Acting is kind of gay. It makes you soft.”
In a recent UFC promotional video, Michael Bisping, a UFC middleweight fighter and coach on the reality television show “The Ultimate Fighter,” screamed an anti-gay slur at his opponent. In a media conference call, Bisping tried to. smear an opposing-coach. on “The Ultimate Fighter” by saying that his opponent had a “gay chiropractor” on his staff.”
Joe Rogan, who does commentary for televised UFC events, recently used a homophobic slur while referring to a MMA blogger.’ Rogan also to referred to an MMA blogger as a part of the female anatomy. According to sportswriter Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, Rogan then wrote on a blog, “Never did I imagine that so many people would get their panties in a bunch about the use of the word [expletive] to describe a female blogger.”
In August, UFC heavyweight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was quoted saying that he would not train with gay students. He was quoted in USA Today saying, “What if the gay person has that malice of having physical contact with me, of staying there grappling? I would have no problems having a gay student in my academy, but I would rather not train with him.”
We request that you stop advertising Bud Light during UFC events until the UFC’s owners make it evident to the public that it no longer tolerates homophobic behavior, and adopts and enforces a code of ethical conduct that ensures that participants in the UFC act in accordance with commonly accepted standards of decency.
And to offer pure legitimacy to the Culinary Union’s claim, openly gay celebrity gossip blogger, Perez Hilton added:
“Ugh! We are not happy to hear about this.”
But I don’t necessarily buy into these claims, ’cause last time I checked, both Dana White and Anderson Silva showed clear advocacy of their friendship with Justin Bieber who I’m pretty sure made her acting debut in this film.
