Paddy Pimblett spoke out on his viral bus shouting match with UFC up-and-comer Caolán Loughran during UFC 304 fight week.

Pimblett defeated UFC lightweight veteran King Green on the UFC 304 main card on Saturday in Manchester. He extended his ongoing win streak and remains unbeaten in his UFC tenure following the victory over Green.

After a back-and-forth first few minutes of the bout, Pimblett slept Green in an arm-triangle choke to secure his sixth UFC victory. He signed with the promotion in 2021 and has become one of the top stars in the lightweight division.

Ahead of his UFC 304 showcase, video footage spread online of Pimblett getting into a heated back-and-forth with Loughran en route to the UFC 304 ceremonial weigh-in. While the incident never turned physical, the two shared a heated war of words that went viral.

Paddy Pimblett Talks Beef With Caolán Loughran

At the UFC 304 post-fight press conference, Pimblett addressed his pre-UFC 304 squabble with Loughran.

“He just stood up and started chatting s***,” Pimblett said. “I was sitting at the back of the bus speaking to someone and I just said ‘Oh, Jordan Vucenic’s been signed? Another Cage Warriors fighter?’. He’s very good…it’s funny how Jordan Vucenic and Morgan Charriere have been signed and Paul Hughes is fighting in the PFL in the B-Leagues…

“He stood up and went ‘Paul Hughes would smoke you!’. Lad, who are you talking to?” Pimblett continued. “People made a big deal out of that like I was trying to bully him. He started it. If you’re gonna start something with me, be prepared to finish it, because I’ll put you in your place, it’s as simple as that. Talking s*** about my teammates last week, so I’m gonna put him in his place and that’s what I did. It’s one of those people trying to start s*** with me for a little publicity.”

As of this writing, Loughran hasn’t provided further comment on the incident with Pimblett. He lost to Jake Hadley by unanimous decision at UFC 304.

Pimblett has earned recent wins over Tony Ferguson, Jared Gordon, and Jordan Leavitt in the UFC. He’ll likely enter the lightweight Top 15 this week following the victory over Green.

Pimblett and PFL star Paul Hughes have gone back and forth on social media for months. His comments about Hughes seemed to be the main catalyst for the verbal altercation with Loughran.

After UFC 304, there’s no love between Pimblett, Hughes and Loughran. Despite their similar career paths, Pimblett holds no respect for two of his former Cage Warriors colleagues.

Caolan Loughran got out of Atlantic City as fast as possible following his first UFC victory

After a rough go in his UFC debut, Irish standout Caolan Loughran is ready to make it two-in-a-row inside the Octagon.

‘The Don’ was dealt the first loss of his professional mixed martial arts career at UFC Paris last year, suffering a unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Taylor Lapilus. Six months later, he bounced back with a win over Angel Pacheco in Atlantic City, securing his first victory inside the Octagon and moving his overall record to 9-1.

Caolan Loughran

Speaking with Jordan Wright in a LowKick MMA exclusive interview, Loughran revealed that taking his first loss was more of a relief than anything, but he’s ready to continue his climb up the bantamweight ladder at UFC 304 on July 27.

“At the time it was just relief after I took my first professional loss,” Loughran said. “When you win, it wasn’t like, ‘Oh, I’m the f*cking man.’ Honestly, you’re just thinking, ‘Thank f*ck’ and then move forward, but once you get a new fight signed and you look to move up in the division, it’s very quickly back to business. But I’m feeling really good and I’m well prepared for this one.”

Caolan Loughran

Caolan Loughran was not a fan of Atlantic City

Asked if he spent any time celebrating his first UFC win in Atlantic City, Loughran made his feelings about the ‘Vegas of the East Coast’ pretty clear.

“Truth be told, Atlantic City is a sh*thole,” Loughran added. “Not much goes on. We had planned to spend the next day in AC, but very quickly realized it’s not the best place in the world so the next day we all got up and left straight to New York. That was the plan anyway, but we were going to go on Monday. So me, my brother, my sister, and my woman all went up there.

… It was really nice. We got to take it [all] in. That’s the best thing about fighting. Bringing people on the trips and the experiences that come with it, like traveling the world and fighting in the UFC. It’s unbelievable.”

Fortunately, Loughran won’t have to make another 3,000-mile trek to a “sh*thole” for his next fight. On July 27, ‘The Don’ will head to Manchester for a clash with Ramon Taveras, a 10-2 fighter who, like Loughran, will be looking for win number two on MMA’s biggest stage.

Former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor has received stark criticizm from compatriot, Caolan Loughran ahead of his return to the Octagon next month at UFC 303 – after footage emerged of the fighting star partying into the early hours over the weekend in his public house in Dublin.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion under the banner of the promotion, is set to snap an almost-three year hiatus from the sport at the end of next month, taking on former title challenger, Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in a return to the welterweight limit.

Sharing his thoughts on McGregor’s antics ahead of his fight with Chandler next month, the above-mentioned, Loughran – fresh from his own win against Angel Pacheco, called for the Dubliner to respect the sport more, and hit out at him for being “blind drunk” so close to his fight.

“Don’t like it,” Caolan Loughran posted on social media in relation to footage of Conor McGregor partying. “Respect the game.”

“I give him (Conor McGregor) all the respect and always have,” Caolan Loughran replied to a comment. “Man changed the game. I’m criticizing the fact he’s 6 weeks out from a fight blind drunk promoting it like it’s cool. What about the 15 year old in the gym looking in. What the f*ck are you on about promotional purposes?”

Nathan Fletcher sets his sights on a ‘rematch’ with Caolan Loughran in 2023: “That fights bound to happen.”

Nathan Fletcher

At Cage Warriors 148, Next Gen Liverpool prospect Nathan Fletcher secured the 7th pro win of his career, claiming a unanimous decision victory over Italian striker, Alessandro Giordano.

The fight with Giordano, which took place on New Year’s Eve, marked Fletcher’s first bout of 2022. Having started the year off nursing an injury, Fletcher was hoping to return to action in the summer, and then later in the Fall. However, multiple fights would collapse, including a bout vs. UFC veteran Cameron Else.

Eventually, on the last day of the year, Nathan Fletcher found himself with a matchup. ‘The Southport Strangler’ showed that he had continued to improve in 2022, despite not being able to book a fight. A solid well rounded display, in which he demonstrated prowess in both the grappling and striking realms, saw him enter 2023 with an impressive win under his belt.

In a recent interview with LowKickMMA, Fletcher was asked who he envisions facing in the coming year. Whilst Fletcher does have one eye on the current champ, Michele Martignoni, he does already have a win over the Italian. Instead, there was one name that repeatedly came up, that of Caolan Loughran, about whom Fletcher had the following to say:

“That fights bound to happen. I think it’s building up to it. The divisions very interesting at the minute, because obviously, we’ve got (Michele) Martignoni – there was like a little triangle with me, (Dominque) Wooding and Martignoni. Like, I beat Martignoni, Wooding beat me, then Martignoni beats Wooding. Wooding’s out the picture now, he’s signed with PFL. That’s a fight I would have liked to gotten back, obviously, being a competitor. But that’s not gonna happen now.”

“So my focus has kinda switched. I’ve got the Martignoni rematch, which obviously the enticement there for me is the belt, because I’ve already got a win over him… In terms of the competitor in me, the only reason I want that fight is because he’s got the belt. (Caolan) Loughran, again, I beat him, but that was amateur. That was a long time ago. Obviously, he’s improved a lot since then. I’ve improved a lot since then. And he’s got a bit of hype behind him, he’s got a bit of a name. So that fight does really interest me. And the c*** keeps calling me out. He’s called me out a good few times. So, I reckon that’s the fight that’s going to happen at some point next year, definitely.”

Nathan Fletcher defeated Caolan Loughran at Cage Warriors Academy Ireland 1, whilst both men were still on the amateur circuit. He was able to claim a unanimous decision victory over the Irish prospect.

Nathan Fletcher reveals he defeated Michele Martignoni whilst suffering from food poisoning!

Whilst a fight with Caolan Loughran may be at the top of his list, a title shot against Michele Martignoni is surely too good a prospect to turn down for Nathan Fletcher.

However, this is a fight the 25-year-old from Southport would be immensely confident in taking. In the same interview, he revealed that he had been suffering from food poisoning the entire day of his original fight with Martignoni, and was still able to overcome ‘The Italian Thunder.’

“So facing him again, it’s not like I want to prove myself, that I can beat him. I’ve already beat him. And actually, when I fought Martignoni, I had food poisoning going into that fight. I was absolutely f***ed. Ask all me teammates, all my coaches. Matt Bonner was there. I didn’t eat a thing all day. And after the fight I was being sick. I came out in a big anaphylactic shock. The doctor had to give me a load of medicine, stuff like that. I was in a bad way. And I still beat him on my worst day.”

Who would you like to see face-off against Nathan Fletcher next? Caolan Loughran, Michele Martignoni, or someone else!?

Caolan Loughran Says Jake Hadley Is A Perfect Replacement Opponent At UFC 304

Just one week out from UFC 304 this Saturday, Ireland’s Caolan Loughran had his fight and opponent switched around on short notice.

Loughran was announced to be fighting UFC flyweight contender Jake Hadley after his previous opponent Ramon Taveras was declared injured and unable to make July 27.

Though having a chance of opponents one week out from fight night is never ideal, “The Don” is very happy with his new fight.

As well as the fact that he had been preparing to fight a southpaw which both Hadley and Taveras are, this England vs Ireland fight between two former Cage Warriors champions is sure to get the Manchester fans excited.

Loughran spoke in an interview with Violent Money TV about how this fight ended up working out pretty well in his favour after all.

“I was like f*** me, unbelievable. That’s a bigger fight domestically, going to have more buzz. He’s also a southpaw as we were preparing for. F****** let’s go, let’s do it, that’s what I was thinking.

I actually get on alright with Hadley. Fair f****** respect to him for taking the fight, I didn’t have a fight there for like a day and I don’t know what the f*** was going on. I wanted to be on this card so fighters fight innit, fair f****** play to him but like I say, I half get on with the guy but I don’t need beef this time. This fight is going to be big anyway.”

Jake Paul Shares Comparison Photo Of Mike Perry’s Custom Chain After Stopping Him

Jake Paul added to his current winning streak this past weekend when he stopped Mike Perry in the sixth round where his size and power was simply too much for the ‘King of Violence’.

After the fight, “Platinum” tipped his hat to his opponent, putting out the following message on social media to show his appreciation to the fans for their support.

“Congrats @jakepaul , shout out to @NateDiaz209 who went 10 rounds with him. Thanks to everyone who came out.”

Paul, on the other hand, was not so humble in victory as he chose to readdress a certain aspect of the build to the fight.

Perry had worn a custom chain of Paul’s head with blood and bruises all over his face which “The Problem Child” shared after the bout next to a photo of Perry’s face being in a similar position.

VIDEO: Cody Durden Shows Himself Getting Substantial Stitches After Ruthless Loss To Bruno Silva

Cody Durden gave fight fans a glimpse into what happens once a fighter exits the Octagon following his loss this past weekend at the Apex.

Durden was stopped in the second round following a devastating uppercut from Bruno Silva which was followed up on until referee Chris Tognoni waved the fight off.

The flyweight contender was left wearing some significant damage on his face as a result and decided to shine a spotlight on a side to the game that many don’t see.

Posting on X, Durden shared a video of himself getting stitches from medical personnel during his post-fight medical.
