Within just three years after making his UFC debut, Conor McGregor arguably become the most popular mixed martial artist in the world. He defeated notable featherweight contenders Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier and secured the division’s title by knocking out long-time champ José Aldo in just 13 seconds.

McGregor then moved up weight classes to deliver the iconic rivalry with Nate Diaz. After avenging his first UFC loss, the Irishman beat Eddie Alvarez to become the first double champ in UFC history.

“The Notorious” has lost three out of his last four UFC fights, though. With fans eager to see him back in the win column, here’s everything about when McGregor might fight again.

When will Conor McGregor return to the UFC?

While taking part in an event on July 18, 2024, McGregor responded positively to a reporter asking whether he’ll return to the UFC on December 14, 2024.

“That sounds good to me!”

For now, the official UFC schedule for 2024 is only updated up until UFC 308, which will take place in Abu Dhabi on October 26, 2024. However, there are speculations that December 14, 2024, is the scheduled date for UFC 310.

Ariel Helwani also suggested that the UFC might book McGregor vs. Chandler for UFC 310 in December. In an interview with ESPN MMA, the former UFC double champ himself admitted his return to be scheduled for the end of 2024.

So, for now, “Mystic Mac” is most likely to return to the UFC on December 14, 2024 at UFC 310.

Who is Conor McGregor’s next fight?

Michael Chandler is most likely to be McGregor’s next fight in the UFC. The lightweights coached the TUF Season 31 and were scheduled to fight at UFC 303.

Their fight was indefinitely postponed due to Conor McGregor and the UFC not being able to agree on a return date. While replacements were considered and offered to Chandler, he seems adamant about fighting “The Notorious”.

Why was McGregor vs. Chandler cancelled at UFC 303?

McGregor vs. Chandler was cancelled because the former had to pull out due to an injured toe. The injury wasn’t severe and McGregor even claimed to have fully recovered from it through a now-deleted X post.

The UFC appears to have a stacked schedule until UFC 308 in October 2024. This has stopped them from instantly re-booking the highly-anticipated matchup. As a result, fans should not expect “Mystic Mac” and “Iron” to battle it out anytime before the end of the year.

Ryan Garcia Announces His Attendance For SuperRIZIN 3 This Weekend Amidst Exhibition Rumours

Ryan Garcia has sent out a message via the RIZIN social media channels to announce that he will be in attendance at SuperRIZIN 3 this weekend.

The Japanese promotion returns to Saitama Super Arena on July 28 where boxing star Manny Pacquiao will be in action against Rukiya Anpo.

Garcia, who has been extremely controversial both before and after his recent fight with Devin Haney, has been recently rumoured to have been given permission from Golden Boy to compete in an exhibition on RIZIN later this year.

The video sees Garcia sending a message to the Japanese fans, when you can hear him over what appears to be construction work taking place in the background.

“Hello, Ryan Garcia here. My announcement is this. I’m heading to Japan. Heading to Japan because I’m going to be at the RIZIN event and I know they’re making noise but guess what? I go louder, I go harder and I cannot wait to meet all my fans in Japan. Arigato from my heart to your heart, I love you. I’mma learn how to say I love you in Japanese. I’mma tell every Japan I love them, konnichiwa.”

Sean O’Malley Unloads On Conor McGregor In Recent Social Media Exchange

After they seemingly settled the beef not long ago, Conor McGregor couldn’t resist taking another slight dig at UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley.

He quoted a post on X with a laughing face emoji that spoke about O’Malley pointing to a recent finding regarding how Ostarine can be transferred through sweat to explain his previous positive drug test results.

“Sugar” didn’t take long to reply and when he did, he appeared to sever any chance of rebuilding this bridge with “The Notorious”.

A pair of back-to-back posts made reference to McGregor’s current form inside the Octagon, UFC 303 withdrawal and referred to him a “drug addict” who “needs rehab”.

Suffice to say that the former UFC champ champ is not going to take these comments lightly.

Bellator Champions Series Announces Patchy Mix & ‘Baki’ For Paris Event On November 16

The Bellator Champions Series is heading back to Paris on November 16 and so is the bantamweight champion Patchy Mix.

He was last in action this past May where he closed the show at the French capital by defending his title via a controversial split decision win over Magomed Magomedov.

Mix is now set to return for the second time this year when he faces Brazil’s Leandro Higo who is coming off of back-to-back wins.

The co-main has also been announced with former Cédric Doumbé opponent Baissangour “Baki” Chamsoudinov finally making his return as he looks to stay undefeated against Sweden’s Oliver Enkamp.

Sean O’Malley has taken aim at Conor McGregor.

O’Malley took to social media on Monday night and blasted the former UFC champ-champ out of nowhere saying he is no longer in the GOAT conversation. O’Malley also criticized McGregor calling him mentally weak and a drug addict.

“Conor isn’t in anyone GOAT talk. Entertainment yes but skills, no. Has a really good left hand. Shit Cardio. Weak Jits. Decently athletic. Mentally weak. Drug addict, needs rehab. 1-4 last 5 fights. Still fan tho. Hope toe heals up,” Sean O’Malley wrote on X.

He then sent another tweet as he claimed McGregor fell off mightily and he misses the old Conor.

“Miss the old Conor ? you fell off bud. Still a fan tho. I actually don’t care you are 1-4 in your last 5 I’m still excited to watch. Hope the toe is feeling better,” O’Malley added.

The tweets seemingly came out of nowhere as O’Malley blasted Conor McGregor, who he has talked about in the past playing a key role in his career, and being an influence for him. McGregor has also yet to respond to O’Malley’s messages and whether or not he will is to be seen.

Sean O’Malley vows to KO Merab Dvalishvili

UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley is likely to face Merab Dvalishvili next time out as he looks to defend his bantamweight title for a second time.

The fight has not been made official, but it has been rumored for The Sphere in September and O’Malley is confident when the fight happens he will KO Dvalishvili.

“I just feel like there’s nothing really he’s going to be able to do (to beat me). I’m going to try and sleep him the exact same time I slept Aljo (Aljamain Sterling). I’m gonna try and time it. That’s my goal,” O’Malley said on his podcast (via BloodyElbow).

O’Malley is coming off a lopsided decision win over Marlon Vera back in March to defend his bantamweight title for the first time.

Michael Bisping Jake Paul Conor McGregor

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has unloaded on Jake Paul after he took a jab at Conor McGregor.

Paul scored a knockout win over Mike Perry over the weekend in a dominating performance as he dropped Perry three times. It was a solid performance and after the win, he took a jab at McGregor saying he ducked a fight against him.

After Paul’s comment, Bisping took to social media to blast the brash YouTuber-turned-boxer after his comments about McGregor.

“The ‘little leprechaun’ [very original by the way] is one of the greatest fighters the UFC has ever seen. But he also won the featherweight title. Do your thing. But please for f*** sake stop trying to sound tough. Fight a boxer d****** or at least someone your size bully boy,” Bisping wrote on social media.

Bisping has taken aim at Paul in the past, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he once again criticized ‘The Problem Child’ after his latest comments about McGregor.

Conor McGregor Rips Jake Paul After Win Over Mike Perry

After Jake Paul defeated Mike Perry on Saturday in Tampa Bay, Conor McGregor took to social media to blast the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

McGregor also said Perry was fired from BKFC, as the Irishman has become a part owner of the promotion

“Jake Paul is the biggest pissbag I have ever seen in my life. 40 pound weight difference, juiced out of his head, and still shitting himself in there. Nakisa you should take him to Vegas oh that’s right you could never, the athletic commission testing, real testing, real fighting. Bitch asses. You could never. And then calling out 60year old Mike Tyson fresh off an in flight medical emergency? I swear to god, a fat can of bitch piss. Most valuable pissbag. Hey Mike youre released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired. @bareknucklefc,” McGregor wrote on X.

There is no love lost between Jake Paul and Conor McGregor as Paul has continued to say he will box the Irishman before their careers are up.

Conor McGregor provides update on UFC return fight injury the foot is fully healed

Sidelined from a scheduled return at the end of last month, former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor has confirmed his foot is once more “fully healed” after fracturing a toe ahead of UFC 303 clash with Michael Chandler.

McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion, was slated to headline the promotion’s International Fight Week card at UFC 303 in a welterweight outing against Chandler – snapping a three-year hiatus from the Octagon.

Conor McGregor provides update on return amid links to December fight comeback loading

Out of action since he took main event honors at UFC 264, McGregor most recently fractured his left tibia and fibula in a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO loss against common-foe, former interim champion, Dustin Poirier.

And earlier this week, amid links to a potential end-of-year rescheduled return, Dublin striker, McGregor confirmed he would likely fight by December time – with a UFC 310 timeline targeted currently.

Conor McGregor confirms he will fight Michael Chandler at the end of the year UFC

“My comeback is scheduled for the end of the year,” Conor McGregor said. “Sometime the end of this year, closing out the show. So, I was close to returning. We had an incident and a postement had to happen, you know, it is what it is. We take it on the chin and rock on.”

“The fight [with Michael Chandler] is rescheduled for the end of this calendar year,” Conor McGregor explained. “So, I’m excited about that and eager to get back.”

Conor McGregor confirms foot injury is “fully healed”

And on social media tonight, McGregor claimed his foot was “fully healed” once more, in response to a dig from the above-mentioned, Chandler.

“Hey bum beggar,” Conor McGregor posted on his official X account. “The foot is fully healed.”

Without a win since 2020, McGregor’s most recent victory came in the form of a first round high-kick and strikes TKO win over former lightweight title challenger and Hall of Fame inductee, Donald Cerrone in his most recent welterweight walk.

Do you think Conor McGregor can headline UFC 310 in December?

Mike Perry responds to Conor McGregor firing him from BKFC, tells 'Mystic Mac' to step up and fight Jake Paul

It didn’t take long for Conor McGregor’s support of Mike Perry to turn to disdain after ‘Platinum’ came up short in his big-money boxing match with YouTube sensation Jake Paul on Saturday night.

Shortly after the BKFC’s undisputed ‘King of Violence’ went down in the sixth round, McGregor — who became a part owner in the promotion earlier this year — declared that Perry was fired.

Conor McGregor

“Hey Mike youre released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired,” McGregor wrote on X immediately following the fight.

Responding to his unceremonious dismissal during the post-fight press conference, ‘Platinum’ scoffed at McGregor’s power play, claiming ‘The Notorious’ has no authority to make that kind of executive decision.

Perry also questioned why McGregor never accepted Jake Paul’s challenge, suggesting the UFC megastar would take a worse beating than the one Floyd Mayweather handed him back in 2017.

“He doesn’t f*cking have a promotion,” Perry said. “Me and him are both owners of BKFC, so he can’t fire me. We can fight in bare-knuckle. Look at me, I lost to Jake Paul. Why don’t you go fight Jake Paul in boxing with the gloves on? I think it would be worse than Conor McGregor vs. [Floyd] Mayweather.”

McGregor vs. Paul likely hasn’t happened yet because there’s no way in hell Dana White would ever sign off on it. But with only two fights left on his UFC contract, we could very well see ‘Mystic Mac’ throw hands with ‘The Problem Child’ in the years to come.

Jake Paul’s KO of Mike Perry was the second-best finish on the night

In addition to seeing Jake Paul score his third-straight knockout, fight fans were treated to another impressive showing from undisputed featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano who made quick work of Stevie Morgan in the co-main event of the evening.

Both Paul and Serrano will return to the ring on November 15 when ‘The Problem Child’ meets ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson in a controversial boxing clash live on Netflix.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

But as impressive as Jake Paul’s performance against Mike Perry was, the Knockout of the Night undoubtedly went to Lucas Bhadi who absolutely bodied Ashton ‘H20’ Sylve in the middle fight of the main card.

It took Sylve a long time to finally wake up, but he eventually walked out of the ring under his own power. Still, the KO was so scary that ring announcer Joe Martinez asked the crowd and those watching at home to extend their thoughts and prayers to Sylve.

“Ladies and gentlemen, before we announce our winner, we ask you to please extend your thoughts and prayers to H2O Sylve and may God restore him.”

Sylve was dispatched to a local hospital but appeared to be in good spirits via a post on social media.
