UFC Fight Night 107 may have lacked star power, but it still contained some pretty interesting fighters—and some doggone interesting fights.

The main event of the card, which aired Saturday on UFC Fight Pass, pitted heavy-striking light heavyweight Jimi Manuwa against grinder Corey Anderson. With the card taking place at the O2 Arena in London, Englishman Manuwa was the crowd favorite.

The winner of the bout was looking at a big leap forward in the light heavyweight division, as was the victor in the co-main event, which featured welterweights Alan Jouban and Gunnar Nelson in a striker-grappler matchup.

As noted, there was no big star anchoring the card. But you don’t need star power to have a quality card—there was intrigue all up and down the lineup in London, and as usual, the final stat lines only reveal so much. These are the real winners and losers from UFC Fight Night 107.

Full card results appear on the final slide.

UFC Fight Night 107 went down from the O2 Arena in London, England this afternoon (Saturday, March 18, 2017), headlined by a light heavyweight clash between Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson. The hometown favorite Manuwa made quick work of “Overtime”, finishing with a pair of left hooks in the very first round. The first put Anderson on wobbly legs and into retreat mode, but Manuwa calmly followed him along the fence and uncorked the second. It caught Anderson clean, sending him unconscious, face-first to the canvas. Manuwa walked calmly away.

The co-headliner saw welterweight action fighter Alan Jouban battle karate and grappling specialist Gunnar Nelson. Jouban had early success on the feet but was taken down and mounted in the first. Nelson would not need his wrestling in round two, however. A straight right crashed into Jouban’s face and completely took away his equilibrium. Nelson followed it with a head kick, then snapped Jouban to the floor and locked up a fight-finishing guillotine choke.

In the main event, hometown fan favorite slugger Jimi Manuwa extended his streak of vicious one-punch knockouts to two by starching Corey Anderson with a short but devastating left hook, while Gunnar Nelson put on a clinic in all facets of MMA by ending the momentum of dangerous striker Alan Jouban with a picture-perfect right hand that quickly lead to a fight-ending submission.

In other action, beloved British star Brad “One Punch” Pickett fell short in his final MMA bout when short-notice replacement Marlon Vera finished the tough veteran fighter with a third-round head kick in a bout Pickett was possibly winning two rounds to none on the scorecards.

UFC Fight Night 107 on Saturday March 18, 2017 in London is expected to be one of the hottest competitions in the year so far. Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson are set to take on each other in the headliner scheduled for five rounds. Alan Jouban and Gunnar Nelson also face off in the 170 pound co-event while Brad Pickett and Marion Vera are also scheduled to go hell for leather at each other as Pickett seeks to end his combat sports career on a high not. Makwan Amir Khan and Arnold Allen are part of the main card.

So who’s going to come out in the O2 Arena in London? Let’s try and look deeper than a crystal ball.

Poster boy Jimi Manuwa (16-2) vs Corey Anderson (9-2)

Manuwa is capable of putting up a good fight and even brags about it. He has also made no bones about picking at the others in the 205-pound division who have turned down fights against him. That said, the fact is that Manuwa aka ‘poster boy’ failed to make good of two opportunities. He failed to get the better of Alexander Gustafsson and was demolished at UFC 191 by the Brit, Anthony Johnson. So is his bragging really got any fuel?  At 37, Manuwa doesn’t seem to have enough steam although he could pull it off against mid-tier fighters including Corey Anderson.

Speaking of Anderson, he too hasn’t had a pretty good run in the last eight fights. He won only two of them. It could be that his skill set isn’t refined as yet. What works for him is that he seems to be a better athlete and can frustrate Manuwa but the question of whether he could keep up the pace over five rounds, is still debatable. Therefore, the gods seem to be in favor of Manuwa winning by a knockout.
