Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino has long been considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound female fighters in the world, although the UFC, the world’s largest mixed martial arts promotion, doesn’t currently own a women’s 145-pound division. The Brazilian slugger has attempted to make the drop down to bantamweight in the past, although she is a massive 145 pounder.

Despite the circumstances, however, “Cyborg” recently made her UFC debut in her home of Brazil at last May’s UFC 198, taking on Leslie Smith in a 140-pound catch weight bout, but even making 140-pounds was a difficult task for Justino. In fact, a documentary following her road to UFC 198 will be debuting in August, and a clip from it was released earlier today (August 10, 2016) – and it’s safe to say that her weight cut is truly alarming.

Check out the footage below courtesy of Time Services that essentially shows “Cyborg” in tears during her brutal cut down to 140-pounds:

Justino ended up demolishing Smith in mere minutes, and she will return to the UFC Octagon, once again at 140-pounds, in the main event of UFC Fight Night 95 on September 24, 2016 against Lina Lansberg. Despite her success inside of the cage, is cutting down passed 145-pounds too much of a risk for the Invicta FC champion?

After years of waiting and speculation, Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino finally made her UFC debut when she took on Leslie Smith at a 140-pound catchweight on the main card of last night’s (Sat., May 14, 2016) UFC 198 from the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.

It was a typical Cyborg victory as expected, and it showcased Justino’s unstoppable stand-up power when she put out a non-stop assault of pinpoint punches to smatter Smith and have her face-down on the canvas for a stoppage.

With the victory, where Cyborg weighed in at 139 pounds the day before, the future now instantly features a wealth of high-profile feuds and bouts. She said she wanted to defend her Invicta title again and would accept more catchweight bouts in the UFC, but one can’t help but wonder if she shouldn’t just drop the extra four pounds and take on names like Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey, and Holly Holm.

For now, watch the full fight video highlights of her dominant UFC debut win here:

With only two short days remaining until this weekend’s (Sat., May 14, 2016) UFC 198 from the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil, the anticipation for the biggest-ever UFC event in Brazil is building to a fever pitch.

A big part of that excitement is being generated by the long-awaited UFC debut of Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino, who will take on Leslie Smith in a 140-pound catchweight bout on the main card. Cyborg was famously embroiled in a long-back-and-forth feud with former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, where the roadblock to them actually fighting off was always Cyborg’s unwillingness to cut down to 135 pounds.

But now she’ll face Smith at only five pounds heavier, and from the look of things at the UFC 198 Media Day Faceoffs, she doesn’t hold the same massive size advantage that she did over her previous opponents when she walked into the cage at 165 pounds or more.

Of course, she could need a day to rehydrate and put on a large amount of water weight.

Check it out here, along with the faceoffs for all the anticipated main card fighters, and decide for yourself:
