Some photos recently emerged showcasing former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo’s current weight cut down to 135 pounds, and nobody likes what they’re seeing.

Aldo, who already had issues getting down to 145 pounds in the past, will try his hand in a smaller division, in hopes of getting a shot at a title opportunity. However, given the recent photos that have emerged of Aldo, many are skeptical that the cut down to bantamweight could be affecting his health.

Top-ranked UFC middleweight Darren Till seems to be of a similar mindset. He took to Twitter to offer his thoughts.

“Just seen a photo of aldo Wow he doesn’t look to good man I don’t get this cut to 135 I think he is gonna badly struggle or may not even make it I think it would of been wiser to go up rather than down As you get older the cut gets harder not easier I got marlon for this”

Aldo will take on Marlon Moraes at UFC 245 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 14. Moraes is a former bantamweight title challenger who was on quite the finishing streak before being stopped by Henry Cejudo for the vacant title.

Shortly after Aldo’s weight cutting photos went viral, his training partner, former Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas, fired back on Twitter.

“Never judge a book by its cover.”

What do you make of Till’s comments on Aldo’s weight cut? Do you think Aldo will make weight?

UFC middleweight contender Darren Till wants to fight Robert Whittaker in the co-main event of Conor McGregor’s comeback card.

It was reported Thursday by ESPN that McGregor has signed his part of the deal to face Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246 which takes place January 18 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

It will be McGregor’s first fight in 15 months with the card likely to be one of the biggest in recent memory. And Till unsurprisingly wants in on all the attention it will get.

“The Gorilla” recently enjoyed a successful middleweight debut against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244 earlier this month. Since then, he has been frequently calling out former middleweight champion Whittaker.

And he made yet another attempt to get a fight happening with “The Reaper” following the McGregor news:

“Surely they need a co-main event ? @robwhittakermma let’s go! #LowTopTing ?” Till wrote on Instagram.

For Whittaker’s part, he was receptive to the idea and called for a showdown in the UFC’s return to London in March. However, not much has moved forward since.

Maybe with the McGregor news, things will start speeding up a bit more.

What do you think of Whittaker vs. Till co-headlining UFC 246?

Darren Till has cleared up the situation around a potential fight with Yoel Romero.

The middleweight said post fight at UFC 244 he wouldn’t fight the Cuban as he is too scary. Later he called out Romero on social media but later claimed he was drunk when doing so.

Now he has went on record to categorically state he is not scared of Yoel Romero. He told BT Sports how it was all just a joke, despite some people not getting it. (H/T BT Sports)

“I’m not scared of Yoel. It’s just, don’t take life too seriously. I understand, I realize and I recognize what Yoel is as a fighter, as a human. He walks in here, he’s a specimen. It’s just jokes, mate. People shouldn’t take it too seriously,” he added. “I’ve seen actually a few people take it seriously and I’m like come on, mate. Have a day off from yourself.’ Whether you think Yoel would beast me around or not is totally irrelevant. This is all down to the fact that me saying I was scared of Yoel. And then people are like ‘wow, he’s actually said that. After giving a great interview, he’s just said that. Two, three, four days later, he calls him out and then he regrets calling him out. Then he posts the gorilla running away. It’s all fun and games, mate, really.”

Whether he’s scared or not a fight with the former Olympian seems unlikely – in the near future anyway.

Despite losing his last fight Romero appears to be next in line for a shot at middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

Meanwhile Till will likely meet former champion Robert Whittaker when the UFC returns to London in March 2020.

How do you think Darren Till would do against someone like Yoel Romero?

Lineal heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury wants to give mixed martial arts (MMA) a go, so he has taken up the help of top-ranked UFC middleweight Darren Till.

Fury and Till are both represented by the same management group, MTK, and “The Gorilla” recently put his fellow countryman through a training session that went viral online, and attracted the attention of a couple of top UFC heavyweights.

Speaking to BT Sport, Till offered his thoughts on Fury’s MMA aspirations. Till explained how serious Fury took the session and detailed what it entailed. (H/T MMA Mania)

”I thought to myself, he’s gonna come and learn a few techniques and that’s it,” Till said. “He said to me when we were starting, ‘I’ve come to train hard.’ I was like ‘Okay then.’ He’s come to train, he’s gonna get some training. You’ve seen the video. So I said ‘Tyson, I’m gonna teach you what I think you need to know about MMA. You’re considering this.

“I’ll teach you what I think you need.’ So we started off with some warmups Coach Mike the wrestler always teaches us. I got him involved in some sprawls and shadowboxing and we went into sparring pads. We done a hard hour, I swear, a hard hour.

“And after he was chatting with me about the mental side of things, what he went through and stuff like that. I swear, that guy’s got a rock solid mentality. Unbelievable mentality. I thought mine was strong. The stuff that came out of his mouth was next level.”

As for whether or not Fury will actually compete in MMA, Till gives it a 70 percent chance of happening.

”I think it’s about 70/30. 70 yes, 30 no,” Till said. “You gotta remember boxing to MMA is very different as well. He’s making a lot of money, he’s a top three heavyweight. I’d love to see it for the entertainment factor.

“It’s all about the entertainment and whoever he gets – maybe Stipe wants to fight him and probably thinks he can box him. I don’t think so. But I hope so. But maybe I’d be in on a little percentage of that as Coach Till. We’re the same management, we’re both MTK so no matter what I’m just supporting him, I’m supporting my team.”

Do you think Fury will ultimately fight in MMA down the line?
