UFC Fight Night 86 went down earlier today (April 10, 2016) from Croatia, and it was a night full of fantastic finishes.

Perhaps one of the most memorable finishes came in the evening’s co-main event, as heavyweights Derrick “Black Beast” Lewis and Gabriel Gonzaga faced off.

Having won two straight bouts heading into the night, the ultra-powerful Lewis was looking for yet another highlight reel stoppage, and he found it, blasting Gonzaga in the very first round to earn a super impressive TKO victory.

The performance even had fans and media members debating on twitter whether or not Lewis could be deemed the hardest puncher in MMA.

As far as Roy Nelson is concerned, send over the papers because he is ready to stop the Derrick Lewis hype train.

Lewis picked up his sixth Octagon finish Sunday at UFC Fight Night 86 over Gabriel Gonzaga and immediately issued another challenge to “Big Country.” Moments later, Nelson responded via social media to the call-out.

Nelson snapped a three-fight losing skid in February with a victory over Jared Rosholt.

Heavyweight prospect Derrick Lewis fought what may be the toughest test of his career when he battled former title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga in the co-main event of today’s (Sun., April 10, 2016) UFC Fight Night 86 from the Zagreb Arena in Zagreb, Croatia.

The fight started with a big head kick from Lewis that partially landed, and he fended off the following takedown attempt from Gonzaga. Another takedown attempt was successful, however.

Gonzaga looked to smother Lewis on the mat in side control as he bled from his nose. He nearly mounted Lewis and then took his back, scoring some hard punches. Lewis got back up and landed an elbow and a knee to the midsection. Elbows and punches rained down from Lewis as Gonzaga attempted another takedown. The action slowed in the clinch as Gonzaga looked for a trip and the ref restarted the action.

Lewis unloaded a vicious combination that got the frightening swift finish.
