John Fury seemed to put aside his differences with Dean Whyte as the two men shadow boxed each other in front of a roaring crowd.

At the Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte press conference yesterday, John Fury and Dean Whyte nearly came to blows amidst the rising heat of the upcoming fight. They got into an altercation that needed the combined efforts of the 33-year-old fighter and Whyte to keep the 57-year-old John back from going all guns blazing.

In a recent video uploaded to The Mac Life, it seems like the two have made up now just a day before the fight takes place at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, UK.

While the audio isn’t clear enough to hear what they’re saying, John Fury, can be seen exchanging some words with Dean Whyte before the latter gave him a thumbs-up as a sign of peace. The pair proceeded to shadow box to entertain the cheering crowd around them. Towards the end of the video, Whyte acknowledged Fury’s boxing abilities as he exclaimed, “You got skills man!”

Tyson Fury takes on Dillian Whyte this Saturday

The long-awaited match-up between WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and WBC interim heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte will finally go down this Saturday, April 23. ‘The Gypsy King’ has been picked as a significant favorite (-550) by the bookies compared to Whyte’s +400.

After defending his world titles against Deontay Wilder in their trilogy match, Fury comes off two successive wins over the former WBC heavyweight champion to take on his mandatory challenger Whyte. ‘The Body Snatcher’ was originally scheduled to defend his interim strap against Otto Wallin on October 30 but was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a shoulder injury.

Choosing not to reschedule his bout with Wallin, Whyte decided to take a shot at Fury’s world titles. There has been speculation regarding the winner potentially facing the victor of Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2 in their next fight. While there have also been talks of a showdown with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, Fury has stated his desire to retire after this fight leaving the sport unblemished with no losses.

Michael Bisping, Tyson Fury

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping has backed his fellow Englishman Tyson Fury to win over Dillian Whyte.

As someone who’s been in combat sports and knows both boxers personally, Michael Bisping believes Tyson Fury will come out victorious over Dillian Whyte. ‘The Count’ stated Fury’s speed, experience, and momentum to be the major factors that will get him the win.

Bisping heaped on praises for ‘The Gypsy King’ as he explained how efficiently Fury uses half feint techniques mixed in with stronger hits to keep the opponent guessing throughout the fight.

In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Bisping predicted Fury to win via unanimous decision as he gave an insight into both fighters’ style and resume so far.

“When you look at Tyson Fury, you can be forgiven if you think he’s not the best physical specimen. But this man is an athlete. Have you seen the speed of his hands? It is absolutely phenomenal. The footwork that he uses, and he knows how to use his reach.”

Michael Bisping breaks down Tyson Fury’s game

In the last two outings in the ring, Fury demolished Deontay Wilder in a newly adapted game plan that saw ‘The Gypsy King’ move forward and put pressure on Wilder. For his upcoming bout against Dillian Whyte, Bisping believes that Fury will return to his original strategy of dancing around the ring and frustrate Whyte.

He believes Tyson has the height, range, and speed while Whyte stands out as the one with power, weight, and strength. Whyte needs to cut the cage off and force Fury into a corner to let on a flurry of body shots.

Throughout the week, Bisping has been going back and forth with Jake Paul after the YouTube sensation called him out for a boxing match. While the retired fighter seemed to flirt with the idea, he’s not too excited by the idea at this stage of his career. It’ll be hard for him to get licensed by a commission due to the condition of his knees and of course, having only one eye.

Are you with Michael Bisping in Tyson Fury’s camp or are you supporting Dillian Whyte for this one?

Dillian Whyte

Dillian Whyte knocked out his opponent with a punch in just 13 seconds of his only mixed martial arts fight.

Ahead of his highly anticipated fight with Tyson Fury for the WBC heavyweight championship this Saturday, we look at Dillian Whyte’s origins in combat sports and revisit his only fight in MMA. Whyte started out as a professional kickboxer and became the two-time British heavyweight champion, including the BIKMA British super-heavyweight title and the European K1 belt.

Before transitioning to MMA, he was ranked number one for five years in a row in his weight class (95kg+) and only suffered one loss out of his 21 matches in the ring. At 19 years old, Whyte was on the undercard for James McSweeney vs Neil Grove when he squared off against Mark Stroud in his solitary MMA bout.

He went on to knock his opponent out cold in just 13 seconds with an overhand right to the chin.

With an impressive debut in the sport, Whyte never returned for another fight as he switched over to boxing. In 2020, he claimed that he could knock out any top heavyweights in the UFC. He had even set up a surprise press conference with Francis Ngannou in hopes of setting up a mega-crossover fight but nothing resulted from the affair since.

Eddie Hearn backs Dillian Whyte to knock out Tyson Fury

Dillian Whyte has established his name as the world’s fifth-best ranked active heavyweight boxer by The Ring Magazine. ‘The Body Snatcher’ has also been ranked among BoxRec’s top ten heavyweights since 2016 with a knockout percentage of 68%.

Boxing promoter and chairman of Matchroom Sport Eddie Hearn has backed Dillian Whyte to potentially knock out Tyson Fury in their upcoming fight this Saturday. While he acknowledged The Gypsy King’s abilities, he stated his support for Whyte.

“On paper right now, Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight in the world, but Dillian Whyte can beat anybody on his day. Sometimes when you look at a fight and you say, ‘How can they win?’ He can knock Tyson Fury out.

“Dillian Whyte has the power one-punch power, and he’s a fantastic body puncher as well to knock someone out.

“Any heavyweight in the division, he has the power to knock them out.”

Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury plans to hang up the gloves after his upcoming fight against Dillian Whyte in London.

Fury is coming off of back-to-back wins over Deontay Wilder and won the rubber match of their trilogy last October. Despite some rumblings regarding a potential crossover fight against UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, the WBC required that he negotiate a fight with Whyte.

Fury’s tenure in the boxing ring is well documented. After battling issues with his mental health, he returned to defeat Sefer Seferi before eventually earning the WBO inter-continental heavyweight belt against Tom Schwarz.

During a recent interview with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, he stated that he plans to call it quits following the Whyte fight.

“This is the final countdown of ‘The Gypsy King.’ Hollywood awaits,” Fury said. “This is my retirement fight. 100,000 people at Wembley, all British world title fight. Return of the Mack after four years to the U.K. This is it, going out on a high. Retiring on top. Two-time world heavyweight champion and I’ll have made eight defenses of the lineal championship. Never to lose a fight. To go down as only the second heavyweight in history to retire unbeaten. Me and Rocky Marciano.” (h/t MMA Fighting)

Fury went on to clarify that while he plans on retiring from professional boxing, a crossover fight with Ngannou is still in the cards.

“I don’t count that as a real boxing fight. That’s not a boxing fight. That’s gonna be a ‘special’ fight. That will be in a cage in four-ounce gloves, in Las Vegas, at the Raiders Stadium….

“I will have retired from competitive, championship boxing and I’ll be ready to do the crossover fights completely. He won’t be the UFC heavyweight champion anymore, I won’t be the WBC heavyweight champion anymore, but I will still be the lineal heavyweight champion because they can’t take that from me!”

Fury and Ngannou have gone back-and-forth on social media for months, and a matchup between them seems imminent. Ngannou will miss a chunk of 2022 after undergoing knee surgery.

If Fury is planning on retiring following the fight with Whyte, he’ll go down as arguably one of the best heavyweights in boxing history.

A heavyweight bout is set between undefeated WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.

The news was first reported on Friday afternoon by Mauricio Sulaiman on Twitter. The date in mind for this event is April 23 in the United Kingdom. Frank Warren has won the rights to the fight after placing the winning bid of $41 million.

This price will allow Fury to receive $29.5 million and Whyte to receive $7.4 million for this fight. Fury is coming off back-to-back wins over Deontay Wilder both by way of KO. “The Gypsy King” is currently undefeated in his 32 fights and is one of the most popular boxers in the world.

Fury had been calling for a fight with UFC champion Francis Ngannou recently, but without the UFC’s permission, that fight could not be made. The amount of the purse Tyson will be receiving for this fight is exactly the reason Ngannou was looking to make a fight happen.

Ngannou has been vocal about wanting more money, and as more and more former UFC fighters make the transition to boxing, the more the pay discrepancy is brought to light.

Whyte will be coming into this bout having secured a vengeful win over Alexander Povetkin who knocked him out in the prior meeting. He took home the WBC interim heavyweight title with that win and secured his place across from Fury in the squared circle.

The fight will be seen on ESPN+ PPV in America and BT Sport PPV in the UK.
