If you had Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk in a cage match on your 2023 bingo card, you’re probably feeling pretty good about yourself right now.

In a bizarre twist that nobody saw coming, and one certainly nobody asked for, Facebook founder and META CEO Mark Zuckerberg answered Elon Musk’s challenge for a cage match. The two often embattled business moguls have caught the attention of the combat sports world as of late after trying their hand at Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Zuckerberg recently made headlines following a report from The New York Times claiming that ‘The Zuck’ was choked out while participating in a jiu-jitsu tournament. Zuckerberg went out of his way to debunk the report, suggesting that his alleged snoring was nothing more than “effortful grunting.”

The fast-rising feud between Zuckerberg and Musk started when the latter responded to a news report claiming that the Facebook founder was looking to launch an app called THREADS designed to compete with Musk’s most recent acquisition, Twitter. “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options,” Musk quipped in response to the report.

One Twitter user responded, saying, “Better be careful @elonmusk I heard he does the ju jitsu now.” The Tesla Motors CEO snapped back, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”

While everyone was under the impression that Musk was joking, Mark Zuckerberg certainly didn’t take it that way. “Send me location,” Zuckerberg replied on social media.

Since then, Musk and ‘The Zuck’ have continued to lob challenges at one another. Initially, Musk responded to Zuck’s short response with an even shorter one; “Vegas Octagon.” He followed that up by revealing his signature move in a fight. “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.”

Though all of this seems like nothing more than a couple of billionaires looking for another way to entertain themselves, Alex Heath of The Verge suggested that the challenge is far more serious than expected and stems from Zuckerberg’s attempt to take a bite out of the Twitterverse.

Musk has jokingly sent shots at Putin, asking him to meet inside the cage for a match. Musk is currently also helping the Ukrainian efforts in fending off the Russian invasion. Russia is currently targeting the Ukrainian power grids to wipe out the internet and cause dysfunction around the whole area. Ukraine has since used Musk’s satellites, as they are able to use the Internet without their information being in jeopardy.

Putin is a big MMA fan and loves to be around the athletes as well. He attended Fedor Emelianenko’s last fight, as Bellator held the event in Moscow, Russia, before Russian invaded Ukraine. Putin also met with Conor McGregor back in 2018. The two posed for a picture and shared the company of one another during the 2018 World Cup that was hosted in Russian. McGregor even gifted Putin a bottle of his “Proper No.12” Irish whiskey.

Musk is currently one of the richest person in the entire world. He was on the verge of buying Twitter a couple months back, but that deal had ultimately fell through, as there may be some legal dispute around the deal as well.

CEO of Tesla Elon Musk has recently taken to Twitter to challenge Russian President Vladimir Putin to a fight in the hopes of freeing Ukraine.

The Entrepreneur, who is known for his social media presence and antics, has managed amassed a following of well over 70 million followers on his Twitter account alone. 

“I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat.” Musk stated, “Stakes are Ukraine” as he wrote the country’s name in Ukrainian.

The 50-year-old didn’t stop there as he continued to thread the tweet with a message to the Kremlin’s official Twitter account/

“Do you agree to this fight?” as Musk tried to provoke a response amid the Russian and Ukraine dispute. 

Musk’s peculiar challenge was one of many tweets over the course of a three-hour period, where the South-African even incorporated a Shakespeare line from Macbeth, as he recited “By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.”

The Tesla owner despite his wealth and influence within the world possibly might be biting off more than he can chew in his challenge against former judo Black Belt as well as the former head of operations for KGB.

Putin was made an honorary president of the International Judo Federation in 2008, however, it has since been revoked due to his ‘special military operations; in Russia’s neighboring country, Ukraine. 

Elon Musk is not the only celebrity trying to get his hand on Putin

Former boxing heavyweight world champion, Wladimir Klitschko, has been serving in the Ukrainian Army alongside other Ukrainians in an effort to help the innocent people suffering due to Putin’s invasion of his home country. 

Klitschko has been updating his social media, where he can use his platform to show the world the truth about the “special military operation” led by Putin, labeling it as a “senseless war”.

Just today he posted a video to his Twitter account as he reveals the impact a Russian missile attack had on normal civilian life, as the 45-year-old passionately urges for more help.
