From the sounds of it, at the UFC 206 event in Toronto in December, there could be a return announcement made.

“All the stars are aligned, my friend,” St-Pierre told MMAFighting.com “I’m not lying to you, it’s not done yet. I want to go back to fighting. I don’t have to. I would like to, because I feel I’m in my prime right now. ”

GSP continued, “We put our cards on the table, see what’s going to happen. I think my agents are talking to the new owners pretty soon. So we’re going to have some news.”

Nate Diaz is doing his best Conor McGregor imitation, sarcastically repeating the actions of the “The Notorious” one following their first fight at UFC 196 to try and get the same immediate rematch that the Irishman received when he was the one who came up short.

Diaz, who came up short in the rematch at UFC 202 last Saturday night, told MMAFighting.com, “I’m still waiting for Dana [White] and Lorenzo [Fertitta] to show up to my house to see how obsessed I am,” Diaz said.

The Stockton native is referencing the post-UFC 196 story of McGregor meeting with Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta to tell them he was “obsessed” with getting a rematch against Diaz after losing to him in their March showdown in the Octagon.

According to the MMA Fighting article, Diaz is waiting on a visit from UFC brass to discuss the potential trilogy fight. It’s worth noting, however, that White has been adamant in media appearances following Saturday’s event that he’s “moving on” from the McGregor-Diaz show for the time being, and even stated McGregor’s next fight will be his first 145-pound title defense or he will be stripped of the title.

Following his brother Nate Diaz’s wild scene with Conor McGregor at the final UFC 202 pre-fight press conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, Nick Diaz was part of an even crazier scene in Vegas this week.

On Wednesday evening, TMZ.com reported that the elder Diaz brother was involved in a fight that broke out in a nightclub on the strip in Vegas.

According to multiple eye-witnesses, Diaz was actually not the aggressor or instigator in the situation. In fact, he was apparently the direct opposite.

TMZ noted in their report that Diaz was going to the bathroom at 2:30am local time in Vegas when he accidentally bumped into someone. The guy he bumped into, unaware of who Diaz was, began talking trash and insulting the former UFC title contender until a couple of his friends saw and the three — or four — of them ganged up and started an unfair 3-on-1 or 4-on-1 fight with the MMA mega-star, who was also on hand for the aforementioned melee at the UFC 202 press event in Vegas last week.

Diaz, who has been at the center of multiple brawls in the past at MMA events, including one giant black eye — particuarly at the time — for the sport, when he and his Cesar Gracie teammates, also known as “The Scrap Pack,” instigated a major brawl with Jason “Mayhem” Miller during his post-fight interview in the cage live on television.

The following is an excerpt from the TMZ article regarding the Diaz nightclub incident this week:

We’re told Nick apologized and said he didn’t want any trouble, but 3 other men then joined the first guy and jumped Nick … who tells us, ‘I didn’t start it. They didn’t know who I was.’

He tried to defend himself, and got hit hard in the head — and then the fight spilled out of the bathroom, and out onto the Bellagio’s casino floor.”

Additionally, Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com took to social media with some details he learned regarding the incident. You can also check out some footage of Diaz partying in the nightclub, but not the actual brawl, which the Stockton native released himself, by clicking here. The footage is different than the video at the top of this page, which is the video released by TMZ Sports that features one of their reporters describing the story.

Things might not be as bad as they first seemed for Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar when the two were first flagged for potential USADA Anti-Doping Policy violations stemming from tests taken for their scheduled fights at UFC 200.

In the case of Jones, who was pulled from his title unification bout against Daniel Cormier in the rematch scheduled to headline UFC 200 when Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz 2 was pulled due to the Irishman’s issues with the promotion, he has since announced that he expects to be back sooner than initially believed.

According to reports, Jones tested positive for estrogen blockers, which may or may not have been a result of “Bones” taking a generic version of Cialis, and as a result will be cleared and able to return soon.

In the case of Lesnar, who the NAC extended their temporary suspension of earlier this week, the news hasn’t been as positive, but his MMA dark cloud finally seems to have somewhat of a silver lining.

Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com is reporting that because there is more room for “credible non-doping explanations” due to the particular substances they tested positive for. As a result, the policy allows for “more flexibility when making a sanctioning decision.”

The report claims that the maximum penalty either man will be facing as a result of their positive tests is a one year suspension, as opposed to the mandatory two-year minimum suspension associated with most positive tests, per the UFC’s new Anti-Doping Policy.

According to a report by FloCombat, former UFC title contender Rory MacDonald has signed with Bellator MMA.

MacDonald was recently removed from the official UFC rankings, sparking the possibility that he was leaving the promotion that he has called home since 2010.

The Canadian fighter lost to Stephen Thompson earlier this year, completing his UFC deal. He was also bested by Robbie Lawler last year for the UFC welterweight title in a bout many deemed “Fight of the Year.”

Bellator does have a card planned for this Friday night, so they could be holding off on making an official announcement until the Spike TV event.

There are some things people simply shouldn’t say or do, especially if you’re a public figure. UFC star Nate Diaz might be learning this the hard way.

Diaz could be facing a fine and other potential repercussions as a result of his decision to smoke a vape pen that he revealed contained “CBD” during the post-fight press conference for UFC 202 on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“It’s CBD,” Diaz said when asked what he was smoking, which you can see in the above video. “It helps with the healing process and inflammation, stuff like that. So you want to get these for before and after the fights, training. It’ll make your life a better place.”

CBD, or cannibidiol oil, is one of 113 active cannabinoids in cannabis. Because cannabinoids are on the banned substance list connected with the UFC’s Anti-Doping Policy, Diaz is under investigation by USADA right now.

“I can confirm that USADA is aware of the situation,” USADA spokesperson Ryan Madden told MMAFighting.com. “[We are] currently gathering information in order to determine the next appropriate steps.”

Nate Diaz lost to Conor McGregor via Majority Decision after an epic five-round battle in their 170-pound rematch in the main event of Saturday’s pay-per-view. For highlights of the fight, click here.
