As noted, the UFC 197 main event between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship appears to be on for April 23rd despite Jones’ recent legal troubles, however that is based on some conditions.
Jones appeared in the New Mexico Second Judicial District Court on Thursday morning and agreed to attend anger management and driver improvement courses, as well as do 60 more hours of community service as a result of his recent probation violation for drag racing.
Embedded in the video player above via the “MMA Films” YouTube channel is the complete Jon Jones court hearing for his probation violation case from Thursday morning.
Jones makes his long-awaited Octagon return in the main event of UFC 197 on Saturday, April 23, 2016, as he challenges Daniel Cormier in a rematch in an attempt to win back the UFC 205-pound title he never lost in the cage.

An interim UFC featherweight champion will be crowned at UFC 200 this July, as Frankie Edgar meets Jose Aldo.
The bout was confirmed on Wednesday during an episode of “UFC Tonight.”
Edgar (20-4-1) has reeled off five consecutive wins since losing to Aldo in 2013 for the title. The former UFC lightweight champion has bested Chad Mendes, Urijah Faber, Cub Swanson, BJ Penn and Charles Oliveira over the past two years.
Aldo (25-2) suffered his first pro loss since 2005 when Conor McGregor knocked him out in just 13 seconds this past December. Prior to the defeat, the Brazilian had successfully defended his title vs. the likes of Mendes, Ricardo Lamas, Chan Sung Jung, Edgar and Kenny Florian.
The move to crown an interim champion was done because McGregor will rematch Nate Diaz at welterweight on the July 7 card from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Along with McGregor-Diaz and Aldo-Edgar, former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez takes on Travis Browne, Joe Lauzon meets Diego Sanchez and Takanori Gomi faces Jim Miller.

The main event for UFC 200 has been revealed, as Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will square off for a second time at welterweight.
The fight announcement was made during Wednesday night’s edition of “UFC Tonight.”
McGregor (19-3) moved up to 170 pounds to face Diaz earlier this month in the main event of UFC 196, losing via second round rear-naked choke. The loss was his first since 2010 and snapped a five-fight finish streak.
Diaz (19-10) replaced lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the headline bout and capitalized. He has now won two straight and three of his last four, losing only to dos Anjos during that time.
The event takes place July 7 from the brand-new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Just when you thought “The Conor McGregor Show” couldn’t get any crazier, MMA legend Anderson Silva reveals that he is interested in a catchweight bout against the UFC Featherweight Champion.
Silva, a former longtime 185-pound champion in the UFC who has also fought multiple bouts at 205 pounds, spoke about his interest in fighting the current UFC 145-pound champion while promoting his upcoming fight against Urijah Hall at UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil.
“I would like to do a rematch with Nick Diaz and then (Michael) Bisping again. And the challenge that I would like to have in my career would be cut down in weight and fight McGregor,” Silva said in a media scrum in Brazil.
“I don’t know, I would have to talk to (UFC general manager) Giovani (Decker) about which weight we can do this fight at, but it’s a challenge I would like. He offers me a big challenge, something I’m looking for in my martial knowledge right now.”
So, why does Silva wanrt to fight McGregor?
“His fighting style,” stated Silva. “He’s an eclectic, versatile athlete, and I believe his game can surprise many people, like it did already. I think he’s a great fighter and a smart man.”
