Paige VanZant may not be completely done with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

The ex-UFC fighter turned BKFC brawler has made a name for herself, and a boatload of cash, as a content creator on the popular subscription-based website OnlyFans. In fact, ’12 Gauge’ has made so much money flaunting her wares that many simply assumed she had unofficially hung up her gloves and hand wraps for good. However, BKFC founder Dave Feldman suggests that VanZant could return for one more scrap inside the squared circle.

In an interview with MMA Fighting, Feldman, like many, assumed that Paige VanZant’s fighting days were over, but that does not appear to be the case.

“I actually questioned that myself, but she had a conversation with a couple of the guys on the team and I don’t think that she’s moved on,” Feldman said. “I think she wants one more crack at it. I know that I want to give her one more crack at it, so I think we’re going to have at least one more run there.”

After signing a very lucrative contract with the promotion in 2020, Paige VanZant failed to live up to the hype, losing her BKFC debut at the promotion’s inaugural Knucklemania event against fan favorite Britain Hart. She returned five months later to toe the line with former UFC opponent Rachael Ostovich at BKFC 19. ’12 Gauge’ once again came up short, dropping her second-straight unanimous decision defeat.

“Paige, she always comes to fight,” Feldman said. “Some people want to say, ‘She lost twice.’ She lost two close fights. She came to fight both times. She challenged herself both times. She doesn’t have to fight a day in her life ever again and she’s going to live a superstar life. She wants to challenge herself again.

“I take my hat off to her. Whatever she’s doing outside the ring, that’s on her own and let her do whatever she’s doing to make that kind of money she’s making, but as far as being a fighter, she keeps wanting to challenge herself and how can you not respect that.”

Paige VanZant Could Toe the Line with Felice Herrig in September

Paige VanZant was tipped for a return to the ring last summer when the promotion made its London debut. Scheduled to face Charisa Sigala, the bout was abruptly axed from the card with no explanation. PVZ was left fuming, revealing that she had nothing to do with the bout being pulled. The matchup was rumored to be rescheduled for October 2022, but it never came to fruition.

As for when Paige VanZant could potentially return, Feldman suggested September when the promotion is expected to deliver their next big event. Feldman also revealed that he hopes to see former UFC standout Felice Herrig make her long-awaited BKFC debut on the same card, possibly against VanZant.

“I’d love to have that,” Feldman said. “Maybe Paige against Felice on that card.”

UFC strawweight Felice Herrig is calling it quits after eight years of competing in the UFC Octagon.

Herrig lost to former strawweight title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz on the UFC Vegas 56 prelims. She lost via second-round submission after Kowalkiewicz got her back and sunk in the rear-naked choke.

After dropping her gloves in the center of the cage, Herrig officially announced her retirement during her post-fight Octagon interview with Paul Felder.

Herrig had rejected the idea that she was in a ‘do or die’ scenario ahead of UFC Vegas 56. yet, after a fourth straight loss, the 37-year-old decided to call it a career.

Herrig earned a shot in the UFC following a successful run on The Ultimate Fighter 20. Despite a loss to Randa Markos that eliminated her from season title contention, she earned a win over Lisa Ellis at the finale to secure a spot in the promotion.

Herrig would go on to lose against Paige VanZant, before winning four in a row over the likes of Alexa Grasso and Cortney Casey. Her streak would come to an end after a split-decision loss to Kowalkiewicz in their first matchup at UFC 223.

Before her time in the UFC, she enjoyed brief stints in Bellator and XFC. She made her professional MMA debut at Ultimate Warrior Challenge 5 back in 2009.

Herrig concludes her professional career with a 14-10 record in the cage.

Felice Herrig is returning from a long layoff but is not feeling the pressure.

It has been nearly two years since UFC strawweight Felice Herrig last fought in the Octagon. She has been dealing with injuries and recovery but is finally ready to get back in action. She will be taking on Karolina Kowalkiewicz at tonight’s UFC Vegas 56.

The road back to health and athleticism has not been an easy trip for Herrig. She sat down recently with Kevin Iole from Yahoo Sports to discuss her comeback.

“I tore my ACL and meniscus,” she explained. “It’s not like you can kind of train a little, you can’t like train at all and then feeling like it’s never getting better. Like, you’re doing everything, you’re supposed to be progressing. I felt like, every time I would progress, then I would take like 10 steps back because it will get worse. So that’s mentally hard. They say that it’s not if you can physically overcome an ACL surgery, it’s if you can mentally override ACL surgery.”

Her last three fights all ended in losses, however, the four before that were all wins. The beginning of her recent slump was a bout against Kowalkiewicz and now she will be looking to turn it back around against the same opponent. The ups and downs are part of the game and Herrig knows this. After her last loss, she recalled hearing hater calling for her retirement, but Herrig is not ready for that yet. She is coming into this next bout without feeling that pressure.

“But I don’t have that desperation anymore,” she explained. “Like, I have to win, I have to win. No, if I get cut from the UFC I get cut from the UFC. I’m also a great boxer, you know, I can go, I could still fight if I wanted to, you know, other promotions would be willing to take me on, if that’s what I chose to do. But I feel like everything comes down to my performance. If I perform the way I have been performing in training, I will win this fight.”

Do you think Felice Herrig can get back in the win column at UFC Vegas 56?

Rising UFC Women’s Strawweight contender Paige VanZant recently appeared on “The MMA Hour” at MMAFighting.com to discuss her upcoming UFC On FOX 15 bout with Felice Herrig.

“I always had on the back of my mind that me and Felice would fight, because we’re the hot girls in the sport,” said VanZant. “So I kind of got myself ready for that.”

VanZant, who is one of a handful of Women’s MMA fighters who uses her sexuality to her advantage when it comes to marketing also spoke about how she looks up to Herrig.

“She’s been around for a long time, and she’s been somewhat of a veteran in the sport,” said VanZant. “Just to be fighting her, and to be at her level in as honor. I looked up to her when I first started the sport. She was someone who I wanted to follow in her footsteps.”

VanZant concluded, “Now to be on the same playing field and the same level as her, it’s exciting. I’m really excited about this fight.”

Headlined by Lyoto Machida vs. Luke Rockhold, UFC On FOX 15 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 18th from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
