As August 26 draws near, the trash talk and mind games have ramped up between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather’s camps.

Mayweather’s father Floyd Sr. recently spoke about some of the surprise “presents” that Mayweather Jr. will have in store for the UFC champion come fight night.

“Floyd’s gonna definitely put something on Conor McGregor. I’ve got a few presents for Conor McGregor,” Floyd Mayweather Sr. told NBC Sports Radio. “I’ve got a few things that I want to hand him. There are a few things that I want to do, and things that Floyd can do. We’re going to be able to touch him up real good.”

“Let me tell you something, even if it goes the distance, [Floyd] is going to whoop his ass. That’s what’s going to happen. Any way he wants to do it, [McGregor] is gonna get whooped. Ain’t nobody gonna say I’m wrong because they know he’s going to get whooped anyway.”

Although many fight fans and pundits aren’t giving McGregor much of a chance against the legendary 49-0 boxer, public interest in the bout has remained at an incredible level since the contracts were signed and the rightness was made official.

But Mayweather Sr. alluded to some new tricks in the younger Mayweather’s arsenal.

“You can believe one thing, y’all gonna see something new in this fight. You’re going to see something that he hasn’t showed you yet. When he shows it, then y’all will know it.”

Do you expect to see any new wrinkles in Mayweather’s game? Or will McGregor Ben the one to surprise Floyd?

It seems like for the last year; the MMA and boxing communities have been taken over by a super-fight between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr. It seems like UFC President Dana White is on board with making the fight happen, which makes fans happy as they are hoping the fight will be made for later this year. However, there remains a healthy amount of skepticism as to whether the bout will actually take place.

Even though the bout may happen, many boxing fans believe that McGregor, a man with zero professional boxing experience, stands little to no chance against one of the greatest boxers of all time despite his one punch knockout ability. This leads to Mayweather’s father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., who is willing to take that talk even further as he recently stated in an interview that McGregor wouldn’t stand a chance against him, much less his son.

“He don’t want that fight. Floyd’s gonna turn him upside down,” Mayweather Sr. told FightHype.com (transcript courtesy of MMA Fighting). “That be like you and Floyd in the ring! [Laughs]. He looks bad in the ring. That’s a done deal right there. They’ve already showed the best that he’s got. He ain’t nothing but talk! I told them people on the TV already, forget about Floyd. Let’s throw Floyd to the side. Here I am, I’m a 64-year-old man and I’ll beat your ass. I’ll beat the s**t out of McGregor! Anytime he wants it, let’s go.”

It’s no secret that Mayweather Sr. was a talented boxer in his own right as he held a 28-6-1 record and even competing against Sugar Ray Leonard during his rise to the top of the boxing world. He has had an up and down relationship with his son but he resumed training Mayweather Jr. in 2013 and would likely train him for a bout with McGregor. As to why Mayweather Sr. thinks he could beat someone younger than him, it’s because he doesn’t put much stock in McGregor as a boxer. According to Mayweather Sr, it all comes down to a cash grab and that McGregor doesn’t know the first thing about elite boxing requirements.

“I’m telling you right now, he can do all the stuff he want to do but this guy don’t know nothing about how to get your body right and the amount of time and everything you’ve got to do, he don’t know nothing about that.”

Mayweather’s Uncle: I Can Fix Ronda Rousey’s Boxing In 2-3 Months

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has suffered her second consecutive mixed martial arts (MMA) loss after taking over a year off following her first defeat, as she was finished in only 48 seconds by current 135-pound champ Amanda Nunes in devastating fashion.

This is the second loss in a row Rousey has suffered to an elite striker, leading many to question whether or not ‘Rowdy’s’ current coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, has enough elite MMA experience to be coaching a championship-caliber fighter.

One man who has had a tremendous amount of success in the boxing world, and believes he can solve Rousey’s striking problems in no time at all, is uncle of legendary undefeated boxing legend Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr., Jeff Mayweather. During a recent interview with Helen Yee of Eyes on the Game, Mayweather stated that if Rousey does decide to remain with Tarverdyan she might as well just retire:

“I think if she doesn’t, she might as well just retire,” Mayweather said. “If she continues doing what she’s doing with the same guy, she’s not gonna get no better. That’s already proven.”

Mayweather is no stranger to coaching fighters who compete in the elite levels of MMA, as he has taken combatants such as Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal and Roy Nelson under his wing. Now the former IBO junior lightweight champion says he’s willing to take on training Rousey as well, and he believes he can solve her problems in the stand-up game in a matter of only two to three months:

“I would say probably, maybe two to three months,” Mayweather said. “She knows how to fight, but it’s just that she hasn’t been taught the right way, that’s all. So I don’t think it would take that long.”

If Rousey does make the decision to return, however, do you believe Tarverdyan will remain in her corner?

The long-discussed boxing match between Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather continues to gain traction, as verbal warfare between the two stars’ camps continues to fly across enemy lines.

Most recently ‘Money’s’ father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., talked with Fight Hub TV (courtesy of Bloody Elbowto discuss the rumored match-up. Mayweather Sr. stated that even though his son ins’t a big hitter, he’ll light ‘Notorious’ up on the feet all night if they meet inside the squared circle:

“Floyd’s (going to) tear him up, man. Even though Floyd is not a big puncher, Floyd can hit him with jabs and stuff all night, man, and cut him up.”

The reporter interviewing Mayweather Sr. then proceeded to show him a video of McGregor’s knockout win over Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title at UFC 205, to which Floyd Sr. admitted the Irishman has good boxing fundamentals, however, they aren’t up to par with his son’s world-class capabilities:

“I don’t think his fundamentals are bad,” Floyd Sr. said. “But you got to understand, his fundamentals ain’t up there with the man, either. They got levels.”

“My son’s gonna cut his beard for him.”

The talk continues to take over the realm of combat sports news as both McGregor and Mayweather continue to keep the saga alive with their trash-talk, but will we ever see the two mega-stars settle their differences once and for all inside the ring?
