Dana White will run the UFC 124 press conference in Montreal.UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and No. 1 welterweight contender Josh Koscheck, along with UFC President Dana White, will meet the media Thursday for the UFC 124 pre-fight press conference, and if you can’t be there in Montreal, you can watch it live at MMAFighting.com.

Throughout the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter, Koscheck has talked trash to St. Pierre and attempted to goad his rival into responding in kind. St. Pierre, as usual, has kept a level head about him, and that dynamic is likely to continue as they hype their fight for the press on Thursday.

The press conference begins at 1 PM ET and the video is below.

LAS VEGAS – When Jonathan Brookins and Michael Johnson meet in the Season 12 finale of “The Ultimate Fighter” on Saturday, they’ll do so as teammates forced to become opponents.

Both Brookins and Johnson were part of coach Georges St-Pierre‘s team, and both believe being picked by the UFC welterweight champion instead of by rival Season 12 TUF coach Josh Koscheck has made them better fighters.

Throughout the season, it seemed – at the very least thanks to the editing – that St-Pierre’s coaching methods were paying more dividends than Koscheck’s style. And both Brookins and Johnson said as much Thursday on a media call for their Season 12 championship fight on Saturday.

When it comes to pound-for-pound rankings, the biggest question is always how to deal with heavyweights. Some people think a pound-for-pound list should never include any heavyweight champions at all. Others say if you’re the heavyweight champ, you belong in the Top 10, just as the champions at bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight and light heavyweight belong.

When Fedor Emelianenko was the heavyweight king, I always had him on my pound-for-pound list. But when Brock Lesnar took Fedor’s place as the sport’s top heavyweight, I didn’t list Lesnar. My feeling was that Lesnar’s greatness was much more about size and strength than skill, and therefore Lesnar wasn’t really suited to being in the pound-for-pound Top 10.

Now that Cain Velasquez is the heavyweight champion of the world, I’m back to having a heavyweight in my Top 10. Find out where and why below.
