Former Cage Warriors lightweight champion, Jai Herbert has scored his first victory under the UFC’s banner, stopping Khama Worthy with opening round strikes on the preliminary card of UFC Vegas 41 tonight.
Herbert, a former Cage Warriors lightweight standout, began his long-awaited Octagon tenure with a pair of knockout losses to Brazilian duo, Francisco Trinaldo and then Renato Moicano, before drawing Worthy at the UFC Apex facility tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jai Herbert snaps two-fight losing skid with first round TKO of Khama Worthy
Hurting Worthy with his long, rangy striking in the opening round, Herbert, smelling blood in the water, managed to successfully swarm on Worthy — dropping him following a lengthy combination, before following up and forcing the finish with subsequent ground strikes.
Check out the highlights from Herbert’s first round win over Worthy, below.

Norma Dumont has lodged her third straight Octagon victory and may have just inserted herself into featherweight title contention, scoring a rather comfortable, straightforward unanimous decision win over the #3 ranked bantamweight, short notice replacement, Aspen Ladd in the main event of UFC Vegas 40.
A real promising opening round for the Belo Horizonte native, Dumont, who has managed to find home with a flurry of jabs as well as following straight right hands, resulting in some redness on the face of Ladd. 10-9 for the Brazilian.
Some more sharp striking in the second round from Dumont who looks to be a lot quicker on the feet than Ladd who remains patient. however, has lost the last two rounds 10-9 now. Coach Jim West urging Ladd to get to work.
West audibly disappointed in his student Ladd, informing her that she is likely three rounds down heading into the fourth frame. Dumont’s striking showing on the face of the Folsom native now.
One Way Traffic For Norma Dumont Approaching The Final Round
Ladd again urged to pick up the pace in the fifth and final round, with West explaining, with a fair share of profanity, that the #3 ranked bantamweight is in need of a finish in the last frame.
Ladd dominant in the clinch at the fence in the fifth, amassing considerable control time, however, it’s too little too late for the divisional debutante, with Dumont taking home a unanimous decision win off the back of an early, impressive start.
Below, catch the highlights from Dumont’s unanimous judging victory over Ladd.

Veteran UFC lightweight contender, Jim Miller continues to defy the odds — scoring his first victory in three in the form of a massive one-punch second round knockout over promotional newcomer, Erick Gonzalez on the main card of UFC Vegas 40.
Miller, 38, set an Octagon record tonight for the most walks in the history of the organization’s lightweight division, featuring for a whopping thirty-third time at tonight’s event in Las Vegas.
Snapping a two-fight losing skid, the veteran New Jersey started the second round with a bang, dropping promotional newcomer, Gonzalez with a huge left hook, before stepping in and landing several subsequent ground strikes against the debutante before referee, Marc Smith could come to his rescue.
Jim Miller Eyes Further Octagon History
Lodging his first knockout victory since a UFC 200 stoppage over lightweight icon, Takanori Gomi back in July 2016, Miller, who once outlined intentions to feature at UFC 100, 200, and eventually, 300, appears to have sights fixed on a continued run with the promotion — which he has represented since October 2008.

Marina Rodriguez will likely overtake Mackenzie Dern into the official UFC strawweight top-five rankings off the back of tonight’s UFC Vegas 39 — handing the streaking, Dern a unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) loss in the headlining bout.
A very promising opening round for the #6 ranked, Rodriguez, who appears to have the clear and definite striking advantage when compared with Dern.
The Brazilian manages to out-strength Dern during a brief clinch exchange at the fence as well, before the pair separate.
A hugely dominant second round from Dern, who manages to get Rodriguez’s back in a scramble, and almost set up a couple of armbars, even posturing up in full mount and raining down with ground strikes. Some good control time from the grappler as well. Possibly a 10-8 round for Dern even.
Rodriguez gets the swing of things in the third round, largely picking Dern apart on the feet, with the latter appearing quite tired in the middle of this fight. Rodriguez attempting to set up a rear high kick as Dern freezes in the pocket.
Another impressive round for Rodriguez who now leaves Dern in need of a finish in the fifth if she’s to win this main event, however, the grappling talent once more fount full mount with half a minute left in the round, and attempted to isolate an arm before the klaxon sounded.
Taking the fifth round as well, Rodriguez manages to score a unanimous decision victory over Dern, halting the four-fight winning spree of the Arizona-born contender.
Below, catch the highlights from Rodriguez’s headlining win over Dern.

In the words of UFC play-by-play commentator, Jon Anik, the clean-up crew have a busy night ahead following our preliminary featherweight bout between Charles Rosa, and eventual victor Damon Jackson.
Battling over the course of a three round preliminary card bout, Jackson emerged with a (29-26, 29-27, 30-27) unanimous decision win over Rosa, having lost what looks to be litres of blood after he was sliced with a massive spinning back elbow.
Dealing with a massive laceration to the right of his right eye, Jackson was consulted by the Octagon-side physician, who gave him the go ahead to continue despite the sizeable cut.
Returning to the position at the fence prior to the stoppage in action, Jackson somehow managed to remain composed as himself and Rosa scrambled for the final minute or so, with blood continuing to leak from him like a tap.
Below, catch the highlights from Jackson’s unanimous decision victory over fellow grappler, Rosa.
One-time UFC light heavyweight title challenger, the #5 ranked, Thiago ‘Marreta’ Santos has brought a halt to his disappointing three-fight losing skid, with a rather forgettable unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47) win over compatriot, Johnny Walker.
In a rather hesitant performance from both contenders, in a main event bout which promised fireworks on paper, at least, Santos managed to snap his three-fight losing skid — narrowly edging out Straight Blast Gym mover, Walker over the course of five rounds.
With both content to attempt to counter one another over the course of the 25-minute main event, the headlining bout left very little to write home about, with Santos landing impactful left body kicks on occasion as Walker circled and defended.
In arguably the biggest moment of the night, Santos managed to uncork a massive overhand left, which appeared to land, somewhat clean, at least on Walker, who beckoned him to walk forward — a request which was left unanswered.
Below, catch the highlights from Santos’ win over Walker at UFC Vegas 38.
