Over the weekend, Israel Adesanya captured the undisputed middleweight title by knocking out Robert Whittaker. The knockout came in the second round following a late knockdown for “Stylebender” in the first.

Now, Adesanya has shot up the pound-for-pound rankings, sitting at number eight on the list. As for UFC heavyweight Cain Velasquez, he has removed himself from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool after making his WWE debut. As a result, he has been removed from the UFC heavyweight rankings altogether.
