Chuck Liddell expects to be ducked by Jake Paul after calling out the YouTuber turned professional boxer.

The internet celebrity transitioned to boxing in 2020 and has looked good against extremely poor opposition. Paul stopped fellow YouTuber AnESONGib in his first bout before picking up a highlight-reel knockout against former NBA player, Nate Robinson, on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr.

In April, the 24-year-old squared off against an actual fighter for the first time, albeit a retired MMA fighter best known for his elite-level wrestling skills and lack of hands – Ben Askren. Paul scored a first-round TKO win and continued to call out several high-profile UFC fighters.

A couple of weeks back Liddell suggested that he wants to fight Paul. The UFC legend said, “I’m ready anytime for that clown” when a fan asked if somebody in the MMA world could shut up the YouTuber.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Liddell claimed the fight is unlikely to take place due to the simple fact Paul is not on his level.

“He’s not good enough to fight me,” the 51-year-old said of Jake Paul

“It just doesn’t make sense for him,” Liddell added. “None of it makes sense for this guy. He’s going to risk getting hurt like that?”

Liddell will officiate the upcoming celebrity boxing match between pop star Aaron Carter and former NBA champion Lamar Odom on June 11 in Atlantic City.

‘The Iceman’ says he’ll continue in the role of official until the right amount of money is offered for his return to fighting.

“I’m going to stick around reffing them for a while,” Liddell said. “We’ll see if something happens, you never know. If they offer enough money or something, I’m always down to fight.”

Do you think Chuck Liddell would be a good opponent for Jake Paul?

Mike Tyson is aware that Jake Paul is still awaiting an opponent for his next pro boxing match, but he recently played matchmaker and said that UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman should be the next man to face Paul in the ring.

In a recent episode of his Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, Tyson spoke with former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo and said that Paul vs. Usman would be the definition of ‘box office’.

“I want to see that sh*t,” Tyson said. “It’s twice or three times as much money in the UFC. So, how could he turn it down?”

Usman and Paul have gone back and forth on social media and through the press, and “The Nigerian Nightmare” said that while he would welcome a fight with the YouTube star, it would need to be for the right price.

In a recent sit-down with ESPN’s Ahora o Nunca, Usman said he welcomes a boxing match with Paul but it would need to be under his own terms financially.

“I don’t necessarily care for the fight. I don’t care for it. I don’t really entertain it, honestly,” Usman said. “But there’s a lot of work that I’ve put into my sport to get to the position that I’m in. And then when you see these guys come in and just, ‘Oh, I wanna challenge him. I want to challenge that guy, that guy, it’s almost disrespectful.”

“I think the check would have to have eight zeroes in it. If there’s eight zeroes in front of the check, then for sure, we’ll consider it.”

Usman most recently defended his UFC welterweight title in a rematch with Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261. Paul is coming off his first-round knockout against former UFC standout Ben Askren just a little over a month ago.

What do you think about a potential boxing match between Jake Paul and Kamaru Usman? Who should Paul face next?

Cody Garbrandt suffered defeat again last night — which was then followed by a barb from Jake Paul.

Garbrandt returned to the loss column after getting boxed up by Rob Font on his way to a unanimous decision defeat in the UFC Vegas 27 headliner for the majority of the five rounds of action.

To make matters worse, Paul took a dig at Garbrandt soon after.

“what’s worse cody losing or him not being able to ride roller coasters due to height requirements?”

Despite suffering his fourth loss in his last five outings, it didn’t take Garbrandt long to respond.

“Roller coast deez nuts ?

It’s not the first time the pair have gone at it on social media and after these tweets, it certainly won’t be the last time either.

For now, it’s back to the drawing board for Garbrandt whose hopes of becoming a two-time bantamweight champion took a big blow after last night.
