Jake Paul offers to fight Conor McGregor in boxing match I'm a better boxer

Jake Paul wants to step inside the squared circle with Conor McGregor once he takes care of business with Nate Diaz.

‘The Problem Child’ is slated for a showdown with the Stockton Samurai at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas on August 5, but the social media superstar is already looking for his next potential opponent, targeting the Irishman in a recent post on social media.

“Im a better boxer than you Connor and will do what you couldn’t and knock Nate out,” Paul tweeted. “After Nate let’s box as the co main event same night as Katie Taylor VS. Amanda Serrano in Dublin. But since you’re not your own boss you will hide behind Dana or just drink the rest of your life away. August 5th you will see.”

Jake Paul’s attack on Conor McGregor is likely a response to the Irishman’s prediction for Paul vs. Diaz. “I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off him, and I look forward to seeing it,” McGregor told Inside Fighting.

Jake Paul, Nate Diaz, and Conor McGregor Are Keeping Busy

It is far from the first that Jake Paul has taken aim at Conor McGregor and it almost certainly won’t be the last. Currently, ‘The Notorious’ is expected to make his long-awaited return to the Octagon this fall for a highly anticipated clash with high-octane lightweight ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler. Before throwing hands inside the cage, the two fighters will coach opposite one another on the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter. The season premiere is scheduled to air on May 30.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul will attempt to get back into the win column after suffering his first loss at the hands of Tommy Fury. Prior to his defeat, ‘The Problem Child’ earned wins over former-MMA notables including Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley on two separate occasions. Paul signed with the Professional Fighters League earlier this year and is expected to make his mixed martial arts debut in late 2023 or early 2024.

His next opponent, Nate Diaz, wrapped up a 15-year career with the UFC last September, earning a fourth-round submission over tenured lightweight Tony Ferguson. All signs seem to point toward Diaz making a return to the Octagon before hanging up his gloves for good, though the Stockton native has remained coy when discussing the subject.

Conor McGregor picks Nate Diaz to beat Jake Paul in boxing match slaps the head off him

While in Las Vegas for the big Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia boxing bout that went down on Saturday, Conor McGregor was approached outside of a casino to give his take on the upcoming Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul fight.

After Garcia was defeated in the seventh round due to a nasty body shot from Davis, McGregor went backstage to give a motivational speech to the young boxer.

McGregor knows a thing or two about losing major battles in his career. He got redemption for the defeat he suffered at the hands of Nate Diaz back in 2016 but has also lost two straight fights to his biggest rival: Dustin Poirier. What’s more, Conor McGregor may never get to redeem himself for those two back-to-back losses to Poirier. Garcia and Davis could likely rematch in the future.

When asked if McGregor would be in attendance for the fight, though, ‘Notorious’ practically scoffed at the question. So, don’t expect to see the Irishman front row for the Diaz and Paul fight.

“Jaysus, I’ll probably be in the Lamborghini off the coast of Sicily.”

Diaz and Paul will throw down on August 5th. So far, MMA fighters have been exclusively picking ‘Mr. 209’ to get the job done against the former youtube sensation. Bobby Green went on record not too long ago and said Diaz’s style would simply make the difference in that fight.

Diaz also made the news recently when he was seen outside of a club partaking in a massive streetfight. The MMA legend could be seen putting his hands up, ready to duke it out, before grabbing a man who looked eerily similar to Jake Paul into a clinch and submitting him with what looked to be a standing D’arce choke or modified guillotine.

Conor McGregor also spoke out on the video of the fight and claimed he’d “mince” Diaz in the clinch nowadays. Regardless, all eyes are on Nate Diaz and Jake Paul leading into this boxing bout, and the world just might be shocked at the outcome.

Jake Paul would never pass up the opportunity to take a dig at former UFC fan-favorite Nate Diaz.

‘The Problem Child’ did just that, mocking the Stockton Samurai in a video clip uploaded by the love-them-or-hate-them Paul brothers. Their latest upload comes less than 24 hours after Nate Diaz’s busy night in The Big Easy. In town for the DAZN Misfits 006 boxing event, the TUF alumnus got his evening started by chucking a water bottle at reality TV star Chase DeMoor, causing an impromptu ringside brawl that eventually spilled out into the streets.

Nate Diaz was far from done, getting into a scuffle with Logan Paul look-a-like Rodney Petersen shortly after the incident with DeMoor. Footage shot by a bystander clearly shows Diaz rendering Peterson unconscious with a standing guillotine choke before letting him drop to the ground, cracking the back of his head against the concrete.

Jake Paul Releases ‘Self-Defense’ Video in Response to Nate Diaz Street Fight Footage

Quick to take a dig at his next opponent inside the squared circle, Jake Paul alongside WWE Superstar brother Logan Paul performed a cringe-worthy skit on how to defend yourself in the streets from “a homeless Stockton man” if you happen to look like one of the buff blonde brothers.

“Today, we’re going to be teaching you what to do if you see a homeless Stockton man trying to come at you in the middle of the streets,” Jake says. “Now if you look anything like a Paul brother, keep your eyes peeled because the streets are hot.”

Fight fans can expect to see more content like this over the next few months as Jake Paul’s highly anticipated boxing match with Nate Diaz draws closer. Emanating from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, the two combat sports stars will square off on August 5 before Paul is expected to make his mixed martial arts debut for the Professional Fighters League.

Nate Diaz is fresh off a 15-year run with the UFC, going 16-11 inside the Octagon during his tenure. Diaz earned wins over some of the lightweight division’s biggest names over the last decade, including Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, Jim Miller, Gray Maynard, Conor McGregor, Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis, and Tony Ferguson.

Recent rumors suggest Nate Diaz will return to the UFC, presumably for a long-awaited trilogy bout with Conor McGregor, once he takes care of business with Jake Paul this summer.

Nate Diaz touted to expose Jake Paul in August boxing match he has the perfect style

UFC fan favorite Bobby Green firmly believes his friend and training partner Nate Diaz will “expose” ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul when they clash on August 5th.

The MMA and Boxing world is split as to who takes this one. People are seemingly leaning toward Jake Paul as he has a great track record against older and smaller MMA opponents. However, Nate Diaz and his brother Nick have always been a little different. Unpredictable would probably be the perfect word for them.

Many fans agreed Leon Edwards would wipe the floor with an ageing Nate Diaz when they fought at UFC 263, but the entire world was very surprised when Diaz almost knocked Edwards out cold. Diaz isn’t even known for his punching power and has always been considered a volume striker. But, at UFC 263, he shocked the world and severely staggered Edwards. Even more unpredictably, instead of finishing the fight by rushing forward and landing a few more strikes: Nate Diaz just pointed at the stumbling Edwards and laughed in what would go down as a classic Diaz moment.

Not only did he give ‘Rocky’ the time he needed to recover, but he also went on to lose via decision, in a moment that forever etched itself in history as one of the most baffling and in-hindsight hilarious moments of the illustrious career of Diaz.

As Nate Diaz prepares for Jake Paul, Bobby Green believes Diaz’s style will spell doom for ‘The Problem Child’

“I was just training with Nate a couple of weeks ago,” Green told Sportskeeda (H/T MMA Mania). “We were getting it in, and I think he’s going to have the perfect style to expose Jake. A lot of people sleep on his boxing, but his boxing’s really good. He’s actually a better boxer than a MMA fighter!”

“Don’t get me wrong, his jitz is sick, but his boxing is probably number one, and people don’t realize that. But I think the issue is that with MMA the gloves are smaller, so when you do certain techniques in boxing, they don’t exactly translate to MMA as well.”

Obviously just a well-deserved money fight for Nate Diaz, the boxing bout still has the extreme likelihood to be mega-entertaining just because he is involved. Some of the funniest and most controversial moments in MMA history have stemmed from the hilarious exploits of the Diaz bros, and MMA fans can rest assured that the press conferences and fight to come will most likely be packed with a handful of comedic gems that will live on in history forever.

Regarding the huge amount of money Diaz was likely about to secure, Green had this to say: “F— yeah, f—, he deserves it, he really does,”

Vitor Belfort calls for Logan Paul boxing match UFC I promise I won't hurt you

Vitor Belfort is once again calling out Jake and Logan Paul.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion scored his second-straight win inside the squared circle on April 1, besting former Strikeforce middleweight titleholder Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza via unanimous decision. Appearing at the Gamebred Boxing 4 post-fight press event, ‘The Phenom’ noted that it should have been him and not Anthony Pettis competing against boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. in the main event of the evening.

“I should’ve fought Roy Jones Jr. in the main event, not Pettis. It was supposed to be two legendary guys, but they put Pettis there,” Belfort complained. “Now I have an offer for Gamebred. Let’s go to Florida. I was hoping to face Roy, but Pettis won. So let’s make that fight in Florida. Me and Pettis. No excuses” (h/t Bloddy Elbow)

If he can’t get Pettis inside the squared circle, Vitor Belfort has another name in mind.

“If not Pettis, bring on Jake Paul,” Belfort continued. “He’s coming off a loss, I’ll take him. I can fight Jake Paul and become his dad.”

It’s not the first time that Belfort has taken aim at the social media sensations. In 2021, ‘The Phenom’ called out the brothers, specifically Jake Paul when ‘The Problem Child’ was just three fights into his professional boxing career.

Vitor Belfort Takes Aim at Logan Paul

With Jake Paul now scheduled to scrap with former UFC standout Nate Diaz this summer, Vitor Belfort is once again looking in a different direction for his next appearance in the ring. ‘The Phenom’ has now locked on older brother Logan Paul, calling out the WWE Superstar on Instagram in a now-deleted post initially translated by Ag Fight.

Dana White, tell your boy to man up and fight me,” Belfort posted. “Let’s do the co-main event for the fight between Nate Diaz and your brother Jake. The winner of that fight takes the winner of our fight. Go get ready and fight me. I promise I won’t hurt you.”

Logan Paul is nearly two years removed from his last appearance inside a boxing ring, having gone eight rounds with undefeated pugilist Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather in June 2021. Since then, Paul has found success in the world of sports entertainment, signing with the WWE in 2022. Paul completed his first year with the promotion at WrestleMania 39 earlier this month. He re-signed with the company shortly after, making a fight with Vitor Belfort unlikely at this time.

Nate Diaz return to the UFC up in the air we'll see Dana White

Despite noting his intentions to return to the Octagon following his upcoming August professional boxing debut, former lightweight title challenger, Nate Diaz may not have it all his own way according to UFC president, Dana White – who remained coy on a return to the organization for the Stockton veteran.

Diaz, a former lightweight title challenger and welterweight contender under the banner of the promotion, was booked to fight 6-1 professional boxer, Jake Paul last week as per an official press release – with the duo set to headline an American Airlines Center event in Dallas, Texas over the course of eight rounds at the middleweight limit.

Bowing out of the UFC back in November of last year, Nate Diaz, a victor of The Ultimate Fighter, completed his contractual obligations with the organization at UFC 279 back in September of last year.

Headlining the pay-per-view event, Diaz managed to submit former interim lightweight titleholder, Tony Ferguson with a fourth round guillotine choke finish.

Nate Diaz confirmed his plans to make a return to the UFC

Slated to meet Paul later this summer in a professional boxing match, Diaz confirmed his intentions to return to the UFC following his transition to the squared circle.

“Besides ‘Canelo’ [Alvarez], he’s [Jake Paul] the biggest thang (sic) in boxing,” Nate Diaz said in a press release. “I’m here to conquer that. I’m the king of combat sports and then I’m headed back to get my UFC belts. I f*cked up Conor (McGregor) for acting out and now here I am again, like a super hero of the real fight game – the king of the real fight game.”

However, despite Diaz’s intentions to return to mixed martial arts following his professional boxing debut, UFC leader, White remained coy on the prospect of the Californian returning to the promotion.

“(Dana) White says that the UFC loves Nate (Diaz) and answers “we’ll see” on whether he could come back to the promotion one day,” TSN reporter, Aaron Bronsteter tweeted.
