Footage has emerged last night following lightweight prospect, Paddy Pimblett’s questionable and contentious unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) over Jared Gordon at UFC 282 – of promotional color-commentator, Joe Rogan scoffing at the Octagon-side judges’ scorecards.

Co-headlining UFC 282 against New York native, Gordon, Pimblett managed to maintain his undefeated record under the banner of the promotion, nabbing a debated unanimous decision victory over the former – adding to prior successes against Luigi Vendramini, Kazula Vargas, and Jordan Leavitt.

Suffering notable punishment in the first and second round of his co-main event slot against Gordon, Pimblett remained confident that the judges sitting Octagon-side made the right decision to hand him a unanimous decision victory, questioning how anyone could score the fight in favor of the former.

Joe Rogan rolls his eyes at Paddy Pimblett’s decision win over Jared Gordon

With fan-footage captured of Pimblett’s decision win over Gordon, UFC color-commentator, Joe Rogan threw his head to the side in disbelief and scoffed at the decision calling from Octagon announcer, Bruce Buffer.

Reacting to calls that he was gifted a decision win over Gordon, Pimblett speculated that those calls only surfaced from people who did not like him.

“I’m a bit annoyed after people saying they thought I lost,” Paddy Pimblett said on the UFC 282 post-fight show. “I’m pretty annoyed, to be honest. But I’m 4-0 in the UFC – haters going to hate, you’ve got to get on with it.”

“It’s not as though it was a split decision victory,” Paddy Pimblett explained. “But I’ll be honest, I thought I won the first two [rounds], and I took the third round off. It’s my own stupid fault – you should never take a round off, thinking you’re two rounds up. It goes without saying.” (Transcribed by MMA Fighting)

Before his Octagon debut back in September of last year, Pimblett held the undisputed Cage Warriors featherweight crown during his tenure with the Graham Boylan-led organization.

Former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor has hit out at promotional color-commentator, Joe Rogan, after the latter questioned if the Dubliner was utilizing PEDs (performance-enhancing drugs) to aid his recovery from a fractured tibia and fibula suffered in July of last year.

McGregor, 34, has been sidelined since UFC 264 last year, headlining against former interim lightweight champion, Dustin Poirier.

Suffering a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO loss in the pair’s rubber match trilogy bout, McGregor suffered a fracture of his left tibia and fibula in the opening frame.

In the time since, McGregor, who has yet to be subject to anti-doping testing by anti-doping agency, USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) since the third quarter of last year, has experienced a significant mass and size increase, leading many in the community to speculate that the Crumlin native is utilizing PEDs to help recover from his injury.

Rogan, a staple in the promotion’s commentary booth recently addressed the former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion’s drastic weight increase, joking how a urine sample provided by McGregor would likely melt through a USADA testing apparatus.

Conor McGregor takes aim at UFC commentator, Joe Rogan

Taking aim at the veteran caller in a now-deleted post on his official Twitter, Conor McGregor poked fun at Joe Rogan’s history in Taekwondo, as well as speculating that the podcast host is far from ‘clean’ himself.

“Joe (Rogan) looks like his piss melts his knickers, in the company (UFC) that long and never took a fight hahaha @ufc,” Conor McGregor tweeted. “Oh Taekwondo competition, call the cops hahahahaah.”

Expected to make his Octagon return at the welterweight limit of 170lbs in the summer of next year, McGregor has been linked with matchups against former lightweight title challenger, Michael Chandler, and former division champion, Rafael dos Anjos recently.

McGregor’s most recent professional victory came in the form of a January 2020 knockout win over future Hall of Fame inductee, the now-retired, Donald Cerrone at the welterweight.

Comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan says it’s time for ‘The Rock’ to come clean about his steroid use amid the Liver King controversy.

To no one’s surprise, concrete evidence that social media star Brian Johnson, better known as Liver King, is using steroids had been leaked. The 45-year-old grew to fame on social media with his extraordinary physique while promoting a ‘primal’ lifestyle.

Often filmed eating such things as liver, testicles, and brain, Johnson was the owner of a supplement company that profited massively off the back of him claiming that his lifestyle, supplementation, and diet were the reason for his physique, all while claiming he did not take steroids.

In a video made by Derek from MorePlatesMoreDates, an email chain was revealed in which Johnson admitted to taking huge amounts of steroids including Human Growth Hormone (HGH), Decca, and Winstrol. Johnson would go on to admit his drug use in an apology video.

Famed comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan would have Derek on his podcast where the topic of Liver King came up. Rogan felt that it was time for celebrities such as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to admit their alleged steroid use.

The Rock should come clean right now,” Rogan said. “He should make a video in response to the ‘Liver King’ video. ‘I need to talk to you because The Rock’s been lying.’ There’s not a fucking chance in hell he’s clean. Not a chance in hell. As big as The Rock is, at 50? He’s so massive and he’s so different than he was when he was 30.”

There’s a responsibility you have to people who are listening to you,” Rogan continued. “If you don’t want to talk about it, that’s one thing. But if you do talk about it, there’s a responsibility you have to people listening to you and I think you have to be honest about it, which is why I’m honest about it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking hormone replacement.” (H/T MMA Mania)

Long-time UFC commentator Joe Rogan has praised Jon Anik for a perfectly-timed call at UFC 278. The podcast host has called his fair share of fights during his career but one sticks out from the rest and it belongs to his pay-per-view partner.

During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the 55-year-old said Anik’s performance during the Kamaru Usman-Leon Edwards title fight at UFC 278 solidified him as the best UFC commentator in company history.

Right before Edwards landed a fight-ending leg kick, Anik acknowledged his unwavering mentality.

Right when it was about to happen, Jon Anik actually set it up,” Rogan said. “There was a quote that he said right before Leon knocked him out… Jon Anik’s the best of all time. He’s the best. ‘That is not the cloth from which he was cut.’ Bam, and then the knockout. It’s the perfect call. It’s the best call ever… Bro, that’s Shakespeare.”

Jon Anik is the f*cking man… It’s the greatest call of all time. It doesn’t get any better. Every now and then, the words and the moment line up, and you’re like, that’s the perfect call,” Rogan said. (h/t mmanews.com)

Jon Anik Became Synonymous With UFC commentary in 2017

Jon Anik became the UFC’s lead commentator after the departure of Mike Goldberg. The Boston native relies on a large-amount of research to prepare for each event. He writes key notes on each fighter, including information on their coaches, training partners and life outside of fighting.

“I have 30 fighters to prepare for,” Anik said. “And once I get to fight week, there are a lot of different demands on my time and things that will come up randomly, whether it’s media requests or otherwise. Sometimes I’ll lose big chunks of the day so I start my process 10 days out.” (h/t Bloody Elbow)

Along with being a commentator, Anik is also a co-host for the “Anik and Florian Podcast”. He also completes media obligations ahead of each event. Anik has a hectic schedule but maximizes his effort into calling some of the best fights in UFC history.
