Leslie Smith and Justin Buchholz recently went back-and-forth on social media after the latter claimed men were better fighters than women.

Buchholz — former head coach of Team Alpha Male — responded to a quote from Aspen Ladd who claimed her fight with Germaine de Randamie was stopped early because she was a woman.

“Can we all agree that men are better at FIGHTING than women. ????” he said on Twitter.

Former UFC fighter Smith caught wind of his tweet and responded:

“Hi @JustinBuchholz I’m writing a paper tonight for a class and I wonder if you would be willing to give me a couple of quotes I can use about how prevalent cultural beliefs like this are,” she replied.

Buchholz hit back asking if he was wrong to which Smith responded taking a dig at his professional record:

“Judging by my career compared to yours I’d say you’re wrong ????” she said before adding, “I was hoping to ask you more questions but since you’d rather make a spectacle out of the conversation I guess I’m cool. Thanks for responding, kind of.”

Buchholz wasn’t letting it go anytime soon, though. He challenged Smith to a fight soon after and said he would beat all of her opponents:

“Let’s fight then???????????? I would beat all your opponents faster by ko you couldn’t beat 1 person I fought,” he clapped back.

Smith responded:

“No thanks,
1) I fight for money
2) I’d rather not touch you
3) challenging women is the only thing that makes you look dumber than challenging women’s fighting ability
5) you weigh more than me
6)I still have a fight career to focus on
I’m done, have a good night.”

What did you make of the interaction?

Team Alpha Male head coach Justin Buchholz returned to the MMA cage on short notice after a three-year layoff and won by bizarre first-round TKO. Buchholz (16-10) was competing at Alaska Fighting Championship 133 as a short-notice replacement against Marques Facine (14-15), which was streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.

Buchholz (16-10) was competing at Alaska Fighting Championship 133 as a short-notice replacement against Marques Facine (14-15), which was streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.

Buchholz, 34, capitalized on a slip from Facine and brutalized his ribs with body kicks while Facine was face down. The final of those kicks accidentally hit Facine in the head, causing the referee to stop the fight.

After some confusion, the judges determined that the final kick was accidental and had no bearing on the outcome of the fight (i.e. Facine was done well before the final kick). It did cause an odd scene to ensue, as Facine was injured and had to actually be taken out on a stretcher.

The win was Buchholz’s first since May 2013. Check out the bizarre win for Buchholz via MMA Junkie’s Blue Corner here:

Buchholz’ Team Alpha Male fighter Teruto Ishihara fights this weekend on the Ovince Saint Preux vs. Yushin Okami-headlined UFC event from Japan.

What do you think of the finish?

After Clay Guida lost to Brian Ortega at UFC 199 last Saturday night at The Forum in Inglewood, California, a brawl broke out between UFC star Nate Diaz and Clay’s older brother, Jason Guida.

Regarding the wild incident involving Diaz and Guida backstage at the event, Team Alpha Male coach Justin Buchholz, who witnessed the brawl live, stated the following.

“It was the first time I cornered with Clay’s brother, Jason Guida. Like a 285 lbs huge f*cking dude,” said Buchholz. “After Clay got stopped, doctors were coming in and corners were being kept outside the cage and everything. I turn around and one of the UFC stools was just shattered in 6 pieces. Jason ripped it to shreds or slammed it, and his brother just got stopped, and was flying off the handle emotionally.”

“We were walking in the back after, and Clay was walking in front,” added Buchholz. “Nate was walking out of the bathroom, and Clay said something to him, but Clay was discombobulated at that time too. He just said something to Nate. He was all like, ‘Man, I’m gonna f*ck you up again’ or something like that.”

As Buchholz explained, Diaz began to talk back and the larger Guida took offense when he said, “What, motherf*cker? Are you joking?”

“Then Jason and Nate got into it. I don’t know what happened, but Jason bull rushes Nate and tries to put him up against the wall,” said Buchholz. “Nate has got him in a clinch. Like 50 people from the UFC come rushing into this thing. I’m standing in the middle like, ‘Nooooo!'”

“It was going down. Clay was grabbing Jason, a bunch of people grabbing Nate. They were trying to f*cking kill each other for a good 30 or 40 seconds,” added Buchholz. “They get broken up, and Clay’s got Jason, people got Nate. I’m looking at Nate, like ‘f*ck! We weren’t trying to fight. I didn’t know what happened.'”
