Kelvin Gastelum blasts Conor McGregor yet again as the latest war of words continues between these two UFC stars.
They’ve been going back and forth since Saturday. The latest shot fired from the #1 contender for the UFC middleweight title was when he made an appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show this past Monday.
This is where he took a dig at the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion by bringing up tabloid reports. These were about a paternity dispute with a woman claiming McGregor fathered her child. It was bad timing as it came after Conor’s longtime girlfriend gave birth to their second child.
“Oh my god, you want to talk about a leper? A guy that’s full of disease that’s spreading disease all over Ireland? That’s Conor McGregor,” Gastelum said (H/T to MMAJunkie). “He’s spreading his seed all over Ireland, impregnating ladies and not claiming them. That dude’s a leper. Forget him.”
The belief is that Gastelum will stay at the #1 contender and challenge UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker for the strap at a later date.
Their scheduled fight at the UFC 234 pay-per-view event was pulled just hours before the doors opened due to Whittaker dealing with a hernia.

Kelvin Gastelum fires back at the recent comments made by former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor.
This comes after Gastelum was walking backstage at UFC 234 with a UFC title, which just so happened to belong to UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo.
McGregor took some shots at Gastelum for his belt-wearing ways. He also went after him for his skin condition that Gastelum has been battling all week.
Gastelum made his return to the middleweight division back in 2016 where he surged up the rankings. Thus, he became a title contender with wins over the likes of Souza, Michael Bisping, Tim Kennedy, and Johny Hendricks. He has not fought inside of the Octagon since May 2018 when he beat Souza.
