Flyweight standout Tim Elliott dropped a bombshell on social media, accusing his ex-wife, former UFC bantamweight competitor Gina Mazany, of cheating on him with his friend and teammate Kevin Croom.

Tim Elliott is scheduled to make his return to the Octagon on June 3 for a Fight Night clash with Victor Altamirano. Weeks away from the bout, the No. 11 ranked flyweight took to Twitter, posting a photo from the pair’s wedding. The picture shows Mazany, Elliott’s daughter who is the product of a previous marriage, and the man she has allegedly had a relationship with throughout the marriage, Kevin Croom. Elliott also claimed that Mazany had relations with Croom on their wedding night.

“You want to see something gross? This is my “wife” reading vows to my daughter on our “wedding” night! The guy holding the microphone was my “friend/teammate” my wife cheated on me with this guy the same night! and they have had a relationship our entire “marriage” Gina Mazany.”

Tim Elliott and Gina Mazany were in a relationship for many years before their engagement in July 2020. During their time together, Mazany reportedly developed a deep bond with Elliott’s daughter, making the situation even more gut-wrenching.

Elliott shed some additional light on the situation as he replied to inquiries on Twitter. When one fan asked why he was not with Mazany on their wedding night, Elliott revealed that he had left to take his daughter home to put her to sleep. In another reply asking how he found out, Elliott said, “Texts from her to a friend, later she told me.” He also confirmed that Mazany and Croom are still in an active relationship while he himself has moved on.

Tim Elliott, Mazany, and Croom all previously trained at Glory MMA & Fitness under James Krause. Croom was a member of the UFC roster, competing in the bantamweight division up until his release from the promotion in 2022. Croom initially won his Octagon debut in 2020 against Roosevelt Roberts, but the decision was overturned and dubbed a no contest after Croom tested positive for marijuana. He would drop his next three bouts en route to being cut.

Mazany spent five relatively disappointing years with the UFC, going 2-6 during her tenure before parting ways with the promotion. Mazany was last seen competing against Pearl Gonzalez at Gamebred Boxing 4 last month where she earned a closely contested majority decision in her professional boxing debut.

MMA Twitter Reacts to Tim Elliott’s Accusations

Fans on Twitter flooded Tim Elliott’s feed with support for the fighter, many of them sharing their own history of heartbreak and offering words of encouragement.

UFC’s January 15th card has suffered a few changes just a few days before it is set to happen.

The upcoming “Fight Night” card lost two matchups Wednesday, although one of them has already been accounted for with a new short-notice opponent.

Undisclosed reasons have forced former CFFC Bantamweight Champion Saidyokub Kakhramonov out of his fight against Brian Kelleher, per a report from MyMMANews.com.

UFC is currently in talks to replace Kakhramonov with Kevin Croom. News of the new matchup was first reported by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting, saying it has not been finalized but is near completion.

The potential matchup gives Croom a chance to score his first UFC win. His last appearance was a loss to Alex Caceres in February 2021. Croom is going from one veteran opponent to another with this matchup of him against Kelleher.

Kelleher returned to the win column in his last showing, going three rounds against Domingo Pilarte for a unanimous decision win in August.

Juarez vs. Demopoulos Moved To UFC 270

Saturday’s card also lost a fight between strawweights Silvana Gomez Juarez and Vanessa Demopoulos, per MMA Fighting. The matchup is now expected to happen a week later, taking place at UFC 270 on January 22nd.

Both fighters will be competing for their first UFC win. Demopoulos, a former LFA Strawweight Champion, lost her promotional debut to JJ Aldrich in August. Two months later, Juarez lost her respective UFC debut against Loopy Godinez.

The recent changes bring Saturday’s UFC card down to 10 bouts in total. It has suffered numerous changes throughout the week, including the departure of a co-main event fight between Michel Pereira and Muslim Salikhov. Pereira has since been matched against UFC newcomer Andre Fialho for the pay-per-view card later this month.

UFC’s January 15th card is currently set to be headlined by featherweights Giga Chikadze and Calvin Kattar.

What do you think about these recent changes? Do you like the new bantamweight matchup?

Kevin Croom Says New USADA Marijuana Policy Changes Nothing

UFC featherweight Kevin Croom says nothing has changed after USADA revealed it will no longer punish fighters for testing positive for marijuana.

Croom stepped up on one day’s notice to face Roosevelt Roberts in September. He walked away with a 31-second submission win and a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus.

However, “The Hard-Hitting Hillbilly” was subsequently flagged for the presence of marijuana in a pre-fight drug screen. Croom was fined, served a four-and-a-half-month suspension, and had his win overturned.

In an interview with LowKickMMA, Croom was upbeat and insisted that no-one could take away what he achieved in his UFC debut.

“They can do whatever they want,” Croom said. “Everybody saw me win, it was on ESPN. I got paid like I won. My confidence has changed. Like, no-contest? We all saw me drop him and choke him out. Whatever! I won, that’s all semantics.

“I quit smoking a few weeks ago so this won’t happen again,” Croom added. “I took the fight on 36 hours’ notice. There was nothing I could do. I told them, ‘hey I was smoking’. It is what it is and it ain’t changing sh*t.”

Earlier this month the United States Anti-Doping Agency in conjunction with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, released a statement that confirmed a positive test for marijuana will no longer result in an anti-doping violation.

Croom doesn’t think this change will have any real impact until the commissions get on board.

“It doesn’t matter,” Croom said about USADA’s new marijuana policy. “At all, because USADA have never had a problem with weed. I wasn’t in trouble with USADA or the UFC. I told them and they were like, ‘yeah no problem. You took a fight on 36 hours notice you’re fine’.

“It’s the state commissions that take everything. The state commissions are garbage! It’s a bunch of older men that have a little bit of power and they’re trying to make money off of people. So, until the state commissions change it really doesn’t matter. It is what it is. They’re not gonna get me this time. I’ll be clean.”

Do you agree with Kevin Croom? Will USADA’s new marijuana policy have no impact unless the commissions get on board?

Coming off a big first-round submission victory in September, it appears Kevin Croom is going to have to wait a bit before he can have his next fight.

The UFC lightweight stepped up on one day’s notice to face Roosevelt Roberts. Croom walked away with a 31-second submission win and a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus. However, “The Hard-Hitting Hillbilly” was subsequently flagged for the presence of marijuana in a pre-fight drug screen. During the Nevada Athletic Commission’s monthly meeting – which was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic – Croom reached an agreement with the NAC which included a reduced $1,800 fine and a four-and-a-half month suspension, which is set to expire on January 26, 2021. He also agreed to pay prosecution fees totaling $145.36, per MMA Junkie.

Dana White‘s Contenders Series competitor Jose Flores also received a four-and-a-half month suspension for marijuana. Flores faced Jordan Leavitt in the first fight of the series fourth season. Flores was submitted in the first round of a performance that earned Leavitt a UFC contract. His suspension will come to an end December 4. He accepted a reduced fine of $750 and $145.36 in prosecution fees.

Heavyweight Chad Johnson, who saw his DWCS 29 opponent Josh Parisian receive a UFC contract after knocking him out in the first round, was issued a nine-month suspension for a banned amphetamine. He will now have to wait until May 18 2021 to fight again. He was fined $750 and must pay $145.36 in prosecution fees.

Also of note, UFC welterweight Niko Price had his suspension extended after testing positive for carboxy THC, a banned cannabinoid. The positive test came after his September 19 clash against Donald Cerrone, which saw the fight end in a majority draw. the issue is expected to be resolved in December.

Lastly, middleweight Joe Pyfer, who competed on the August 11 edition of the series, was granted a continuance to a later date after testing positive for modulator metabolites. The DWCS 28 fight saw Pyfer have his arm broken on a slam by Dustin Stoltzfus, who would walk away with a UFC contract.

UFC debutante Kevin Croom just picked up the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career this past Saturday at UFC Vegas 10, as he defeated the ultra talented Roosevelt Roberts.

Not only did he defeat Roberts, but he caught him with a vicious left hook and jumped right on the guillotine choke to get the finish at just 31 seconds of round one. Roberts isn’t the most established fighter out there, but he’s a prodigy, and this 33-year-old ran right through him.

Croom was interviewed by Jordan Ellis of LowKickMMA, and had the following to say about his victory:

“I mean, like, it’s still barely even real. You know what I mean? Like, I don’t know man, I could’ve never dreamed it. Obviously this is something I’ve been dreaming about forever and I could’ve never dreamed it (to) be that good. You know what I mean? It was just amazing man. Yeah, like I mean I’m completely ecstatic.”

Croom stated he’s been at it for 13 years, and he was asked how much better it is after working toward this for that long:

“It’s the best story, you know what I mean? Like it’s the best story, which is fun, like, I try to live my life for the better story, so I guess I did. Like, man like it’s a great story, yeah it makes all the work, all the wondering if I was gonna make it (made it perfect).”

Croom was then told his performance was the fastest finish in lightweight history from a debuting fighter, and was asked to express how he felt about that:

“Yeah man that’s amazing, especially ’cause I don’t fight (at) lightweight, you know? I mean, I plan on eventually going down to (1)35 (lbs) so, I plan on having wins in three weight classes, easily.”

He was the asked if he thought the situation of fighting Roberts on incredibly short notice was not ideal for him:

“No man I mean I never even thought that it was not ideal at all. I give no fucks. I didn’t even find out who I was fighting until I got to the airport, like, you know what I mean?

“I found out, A I gotta do all this stuff, do medicals, I had five minutes to pack a bag, grab my mouthpiece, run to the airport, (I) barely made it. I got to the airport like 30 minutes before I had to leave. So like, (I) finally got there, found my coach, sat down, just like, ‘who am I fighting?’

“You know, he started cracking up. And I mean when I heard, ‘yeah I’ve seen him fight’, I gave no fucks man, like whatever. I’ve been waiting for this shit, I’ve been ready. I’ve been ready. I’ve been waiting to dance, I was just waiting for them to play the music.”

Croom came into this fight with an extensive, successful amateur career, and a 21-12 professional record, as he improved it to 22-12 this weekend. He’s a finisher too, as he showed us all on Saturday, with eleven of his wins coming via submission and six coming via knockout.

He was the biggest underdog on the entire card, Roberts was a -440 favorite, and Croom passed with flying colors. It’ll be interesting to see where he goes from here.

His life was changed win his win, as he was awarded the $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. He only had $64 in his bank account prior to this fight. That’s truly a beautiful thing.

Assuming his next fight takes place at 145 lbs, who would you like to see Kevin Croom face next?
