Flyweight standout Tim Elliott dropped a bombshell on social media, accusing his ex-wife, former UFC bantamweight competitor Gina Mazany, of cheating on him with his friend and teammate Kevin Croom.

Tim Elliott is scheduled to make his return to the Octagon on June 3 for a Fight Night clash with Victor Altamirano. Weeks away from the bout, the No. 11 ranked flyweight took to Twitter, posting a photo from the pair’s wedding. The picture shows Mazany, Elliott’s daughter who is the product of a previous marriage, and the man she has allegedly had a relationship with throughout the marriage, Kevin Croom. Elliott also claimed that Mazany had relations with Croom on their wedding night.

“You want to see something gross? This is my “wife” reading vows to my daughter on our “wedding” night! The guy holding the microphone was my “friend/teammate” my wife cheated on me with this guy the same night! and they have had a relationship our entire “marriage” Gina Mazany.”

Tim Elliott and Gina Mazany were in a relationship for many years before their engagement in July 2020. During their time together, Mazany reportedly developed a deep bond with Elliott’s daughter, making the situation even more gut-wrenching.

Elliott shed some additional light on the situation as he replied to inquiries on Twitter. When one fan asked why he was not with Mazany on their wedding night, Elliott revealed that he had left to take his daughter home to put her to sleep. In another reply asking how he found out, Elliott said, “Texts from her to a friend, later she told me.” He also confirmed that Mazany and Croom are still in an active relationship while he himself has moved on.

Tim Elliott, Mazany, and Croom all previously trained at Glory MMA & Fitness under James Krause. Croom was a member of the UFC roster, competing in the bantamweight division up until his release from the promotion in 2022. Croom initially won his Octagon debut in 2020 against Roosevelt Roberts, but the decision was overturned and dubbed a no contest after Croom tested positive for marijuana. He would drop his next three bouts en route to being cut.

Mazany spent five relatively disappointing years with the UFC, going 2-6 during her tenure before parting ways with the promotion. Mazany was last seen competing against Pearl Gonzalez at Gamebred Boxing 4 last month where she earned a closely contested majority decision in her professional boxing debut.

Gina Mazany has been around the fight game for a long time, and is a veteran of the up-and-downs that come with competing at the highest level in the sport’s biggest promotion, the UFC.

Like most of us, 2020 was a year full of challenges; with the COVID-19 pandemic, people losing their jobs around the world, and much more.

Mazany considered leaving the sport entirely and giving up fighting after falling to Julia Avila at UFC Vegas 2. But after making the move to join James Krause’s team at Glory MMA in Kansas City with her fiancee, UFC flyweight Tim Elliott, she has found a new home after making the weight cut from bantamweight to flyweight.

“I’m more used to the process now as opposed to before the Rachel Ostovich fight,” Mazany told LowKickMMA. “I feel like 125 is my home. My body’s just changed a lot and I feel healthier and stronger.”

Mazany will fight Priscila Cachoeira at UFC 262 on May 15th in Houston, in her first fight since her sensational finish against Ostovich at UFC Vegas 15. Mazany raised the eyebrows of fight fans around the sport when she ended Ostovich with a devastating body kick to the liver, a technique that she coined the ‘Ninja Toe’.

Her upcoming fight in Houston will also be the UFC’s second full-capacity event since the start of the COVID-19 lockdowns early last year, and she’s very excited to feed off the energy of the fans as she takes on Cachoeira.

“I think more than anything, I’m excited to just perform and have people react,” Mazany said. “I feel like I’m at the point where big things are happening and I’m just excited to entertain.”

UFC 262 will also be her second fight under the Glory MMA team banner, a move in which she attributes a lot of her recent success and development. She specifically pointed out the impact that coach Krause has had on her newfound love for the sport, along with the benefit of having her fiancee Eliott in her corner for her fights.

Mazany’s story is one of redemption, which we often see specifically in combat sports. All eyes will be on Houston on May 15th as lightweights Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira compete for the lightweight title, but Mazany hopes to steal the show on the event’s prelims with another lights-out performance as she continues her rise in the flyweight division.

Do you think Gina Mazany could potentially be the dark horse in the UFC’s women’s flyweight division?

Back in the win-column at her new flyweight home, Alaska native, Gina ‘Danger’ Mazany picks up her third Octagon victory, via a third-round front-kick to the body finish over Rachael Ostovich.

In an competitive back-and-forth on the feet, Mazany displayed her grappling chaps over the course of the three-round preliminary meeting, taking Ostovich’s back on cue in the opening and second-frame. Briefly threatening with a rare north-south choke midway through the second-round, Mazany was impressively swept by Ostovich on the bottom, who displaying eye-catching flexibility to take the 32-year-old’s back momentarily.

With Ostovich visibly wilting midway through the final round, Mazany dropped The Ultimate Fighter feature with a beautifully timed front-kick to the body, before almost forcing the issue with strikes. After some seperation, Mazany again found the target with another body front-kick, dropping the Hawaiian once more, with referee, Mark Smith stopping the bout with less than a minute remaining in the clash.

We have another bout added to UFC Fight Night 184 on November 28, as Rachael Ostovich returns to the cage for the first time in nearly two years to take on Gina Mazany.

Mazany has gone 1-2 in the time since Ostovich last fought, winning one fight in the KOTC promotion via TKO, and being TKO’d twice in the UFC. This will be her first fight in the flyweight division however, she’s spent nine of her ten fights competing at bantamweight.

The Alaskan native Mazany even fought at lightweight in her KOTC bout earlier this year in January, the lone fight she’s had outside of the 135 lb weight class. Ostovich has always been a flyweight, the weight cut should be easier for her considering.

Ostovich has a record of 4-5 (1-2 UFC), and comes into this fight not only having not competed in two years, but is on a two-fight losing streak. Mazany has a record of 6-4 (1-4 UFC), and is coming off one defeat.

Both of these women need a win badly, neither of them can afford another defeat. With Mazany being the bigger party, standing 5’6” with a 68” reach, Ostovich is only 5’3” with a 62” reach, let’s hope she makes the required 126 lb limit.

That’s not to assume she won’t, but she’s never had to before. Headlining the card will be a heavyweight bout between the No. 4 ranked Derrick Lewis and the No. 2 ranked Curtis Blaydes.

This booking makes it five fights total so far for this event, with the others being Norma Dumont Viana versus Ashlee Evans-Smith at 135 lbs, Parker Porter versus Josh Parisian at heavyweight, and Anderson dos Santos versus Martin Day at 135 lbs.

The entire card will be hosted on ESPN+ at a location to be determined.
