UFC middleweight Eryk Anders plans to beat Krzysztof Jotko by making their fight tomorrow night “as scrappy as possible.” Both Anders and Jotko come into this fight in good form. The winner will be able to go on and potentially move into the rankings. The loser of this high stakes middleweight battle will have some serious rebuilding to do.

Eryk Anders Ready To Scrap For His Third Straight Win

Speaking exclusively to LowKickMMA Anders explained why he’s expecting a tough fight from the impressive veteran Jotko.

“I’m expecting a fight. A very seasoned guy, former top 10, so he knows what he’s doing,” Anders said. “That’s why I said fights take place everywhere on the feet, against the cage or on the ground.”

“He’s a seasoned vet. He’s been around a long time. (I’m) super impressed with his ability to go out there and get victories. When they are unanimous or a split decision. I think his last fight was a split decision. So, you know, he’s gonna try and do whatever he needs to do to the edge out the win.”

Anders revealed he’s planning to use his usual aggressive, pressure style against Jotko and seems confident that’ll be enough to get him the win.

“I like to pressure people and get in their face and make the fight as scrappy as possible. So, that’s what I plan on doing,” he said.

‘Ya Boi’ is currently riding an impressive two-fight win streak. Once Anders makes it three in a row by beating Jotko at UFC Jacksonville he’s got some big plans. First things first though he wants to compete on Fight Island.

“I think that all the fighters want to fight on fight Island. You know, it’s going to be a big deal. Probably a pay-per-view card. They’ll get you on a boat, put you on a plane, fly you to the middle of nowhere. They’re gonna make a movie about that I think or write a book about it so it would be cool to be a part of that.”

Beyond that, the 33-year-old still has high hopes for the remainder of his MMA career. Anders explained how he wants to become middleweight champion while recognising he’s got a lot of work to do in order to make that happen, he said.

“I think that every fighter especially at this level they want to be champ and so do I. So you know, that’s the motivation and I want to make as much money as possible in the process and have fun while I’m doing it.”

“I need a few man,” Anders admitted when asked about how many wins he needs to become a contender. “The middleweight division is a pretty stacked division. I guess it depends who I fight and how I beat those guys. I think the guys that go out there and get finishes they move up faster. They get those title shots faster. So, I’m going to go out there and knock some people out.”

Do you think Eryk Anders will continue his good run of form by beating Krzysztof Jotko?

Jotko throws a head kick and follows it with a double leg takedown. He ends up in side control and lands some punches to Amedovski’s head. He grinds his forearm into the Macedonian’s head. Jotko drives his elbow into Amedovski’s dome now. He moves into the crucifix position for a second, however, Amedovski popped his arm out with a quickness. 90 seconds left in the second stanza. Jotko drives his weight on to Amedovski’s upper body and pins his arm. He lands some nasty elbows that open up Amedovski. He pounds his face with several punches and elbows. The horn sounds.

Round Three

Amedovski pumps his jab to start the final round. Jotko throws a left and as Amedovski commands the center of the Octagon. Jotko is dancing on the outside, landing a left hand. Amedovski needs to do something. Jotko shoots a double from far and lands it. He postures up in Amedovski’s guard and lands. Amedovski kicks his legs up looking for a submission presumably. Jotko lands some more ground and pound and presses Amedovski into the cage. He moves into side control and continues the onslaught of ground and pound.

Longtime UFC middleweight veteran Brad Tavares has enjoyed a career resurgence of sort as of late, and he kept that up by scoring quite possibly his biggest win versus Krzysztof Jotko on the FOX-aired prelims of tonight’s (Sat., April 14, 2018) UFC on FOX 29 from the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

The Hawaiian slugger looked impressive from the bell, stalking Jotko with a varied assault of calm, calculated offense and grappling savvy against the fence. It was a close fight for the opening two rounds, but Tavares was able to capitalize on Jotko opening himself up while throwing his uppercut, landing a massive right hand that continued the exciting finishes on the card after Gilbert Burns’ walk-off KO of Dan Moret.

It was also Tavares’ fourth straight win in the UFC middleweight arena in since a first-round knockout loss to current UFC champion Robert Whittaker in May 2015, and his first finish since he knocked out Phil Baroni in his second UFC fight in 2011.

UFC 211: Krzysztof Jotko Vs. Dave Branch

This fight is on the preliminary card bout and it basically marks the return of Dave Branch to the UFC after a six year long hiatus. Branch was a two – division WSOF champ and is also regarded and respected as one of the best fighters even outside the octagon. However, despite all of his former glory and reputation, it cannot be denied that Branch has something to prove on upon his long awaited return. Will he be able to keep Jotko under control? We will have to wait and see. Jotko has been in immaculate form of late and really has a good chance of actually winning this bout.

UFC 211: Jason Knight Vs. Chas Skelly

Yet another fight which is being featured on the preliminary bout see’s Jason Knight take on Chas Skelly. Knight is a promising 24 – year old who recently impressed with a massive win over Alex Caceres. In fact, the fight did not even go to the judges, Knight was able to dish out a submission which left Caceres will little choice but to wave the white flag.

Chas Skelly will be a different ball game though, he has a background in wresting and so it is certainly not going to be easy to Knight to pull off one of his signature submissions. Skelly has been able to win most of his competitive fights thus far in a convincing manner, will he be able to keep that up against Knight?

UFC 211: Marco Polo Reyes Vs. James Vick

Reyes comes from The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2 in which he was a competitor. Since that competition has come to an end, Reyes has been in good form and has put out some exceptional results. However, is he really fit enough to be in the UFC? well, the UFC is going to test exactly that come UFC fight night 211 when he goes up against James Vick (10-1).

UFC 211: Gabriel Benitez Vs. Enrique Barzola

Benitez and Barzola are going into this knowing that one of the might be handed the pink slip. There really is a lot to lose here. Neither fighter has justified their inclusion in the UFC thus far and now the loser will in all likelihood, lose it all. The question is though – who will it be?
