Undefeated professional boxer, Jake Paul has offered to replace YouTuber, Alex Wassabi at a London boxing event on August 27. – reigniting his rivalry with veteran platform star and musician, KSI (Olajide Olatunde) at 180lbs in the U.K. capital.
Paul, who himself boasts an undefeated 5-0 professional record, was scheduled to feature this week at a Madison Square Garden event against first Tommy Fury, and then Hasim Rahman Jr. – saw both fights fall to the wayside ahead of the bout.
Last featuring atop a Showtime! promoted event back in December of last year in Florida, Paul managed to stop former undisputed UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley with a thunderous one punch knockout in the pair’s rematch.
The victory propelled Paul to 5-0 professionally following a prior split decision win over Woodley, as well as a trio of first round knockout wins over former ONE Championship and Bellator titleholder, Ben Askren, as well as Nate Robinson, and AnEsonGib.
As for KSI, the 29-year-old musician was scheduled to return to the squared circle for a professional boxing match against fellow YouTuber, the aforenoted, Wassabi, however, reports have detailed how the Montana native has been forced from the London card after suffering a concussion.
Jake Paul offers to headline on August 27. against KSI in the U.K.
Attempting to secure himself a fight this month following a pair of back-to-back fall outs, Paul has offered to fight KSI on August 27. at 180lbs – as well as poking fun at his cancelled headlining clash in London.
“Heard that Alex (Wassabi) is out bc (because) of a concussion,” Jake Paul tweeted. “F*cked up. This was a big opportunity for Alex. He will be back. KSI… everything happens for a reason. I’ll come fight in your hometown. Your boxing company. You are A-Side. I also agree to make 180 pounds for August 27. You accept?”
Despite fielding an offer, albeit on Twitter to KSI, Paul remains less than confident the U.K. star will accept his offer of an August 27. Matchup.
“Prediction of reply from KSI:” Jake Paul tweeted. “I accept, hahahah, I will f*ck up Jake Paul, hahahaha. He needs me, hahahaha. BUT my team told me I should wait to make this a big event. Blah blah blah.”
KSI currently holds a 1-0 professional boxing record, eanring his sole career win with a split decision win over Jake Paul’s elder brother, Logan Paul in a November 2019 rematch at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Dillon Danis teased a potential fight with KSI for his planned return to combat sports in August.
Taking to Instagram to hint at the possible showdown, Danis directed his fans to the story of Briton’s latest boxing bow, Misfits boxing.
YouTube sensation KSI announced his return to action after a three-year hiatus from exhibition matches. KSI’s last outing was a winning effort against Logan Paul in a rematch in 2019. While he confirmed the date for his boxing comeback, few details have been shared regarding who the opponent will be with Alex Wassabiy leading the race.
Danis requested his fans to visit the Misfits’ Instagram story and vote on the poll asking who would win in a matchup between KSI and himself. It seems like the public has a pretty strong opinion on the probable fight with 80 percent voting for KSI to defeat Danis.
Having only two MMA fights on his professional record, Dillon Danis may be more known for his affiliation with Conor McGregor than his fighting abilities. Although he’s been involved in a long-term feud with another YouTube star, Jake Paul, Danis has never fought inside the ring.
Jake uploaded a video of a drive-by water attack on Danis that went viral. Paul shut down all talks of fighting Danis after talks between the two camps collapsed.
Another teammate of Danis, Peter Queally detailed his struggles with a leg injury that held him back from fighting Paul. “He’s open to boxing if the right fight comes along,” Queally said. “If the right kind of marquee boxing match came along, like this Jake Paul fight which was a possibility for a while.
“Maybe it’s not now because Jake has gone on and won a lot of big fights since then and maybe he’s looking for something else. But that was a real possibility for a while, that was more or less done him and Dillon so I could see a fight like that happening. I hope he’ll fight next year, he just had surgery I think in July and that was his second one.”
Queally shared that Danis is recovering from a second surgery and expects him to return to fighting in MMA.
“He had to go back and do a second one and he’s recovering from that, it’s quite a serious surgery. He needs to recover from that and then I could see him fighting next year – I would bet on MMA.”

It looks like KSI will keep his one and only win in his professional boxing career.
KSI and Logan Paul met in their professional boxing debuts in a rematch at Staples Center last month. In a six-round fight that saw plenty of controversy, it was KSI who was given the split decision nod after two judges scored the fight in his favor.
Paul was notably deducted two points after grabbing KSI’s head and striking him with another uppercut while he was going down. The YouTuber felt the penalty was unfair, especially as if he was docked just one point, he wouldn’t have lost the fight.
“My appeal got denied,” Paul said in an uploaded video (via BJ Penn). “I can’t say I did not see this coming. For those of you that do not know, I appealed the two points the ref took away from me in my boxing fight against KSI. Which was the reason I lost.
“So, KSI has officially won without question or doubt against me. It is not great. You know, if I’m being honest, it stings. I hate to lose. It mostly stings though, because I shot myself in the foot. I quite literally only lost because of my actions.”
It looks like the rematch between KSI and Logan Paul on DAZN didn’t do nearly as well as expected. The two YouTube stars made their professional boxing debuts on the streaming service with Eddie Hearn backing the fight. The two YouTube stars made their professional boxing debuts on the streaming service with Eddie Hearn backing the fight. However, in the United Kingdom, World Boxing News reports that only 216,000 people purchased the event, despite it being half the usual cost for a standard PPV show.
The numbers provided to not include illegal stream viewers. In fact, the KSI vs. Paul rematch didn’t even crack the top ten of UK PPV fights.
KSI won the fight via split decision in front of approximately 12,000 fans inside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The fight was a rematch from the pair’s amateur fight in 2018, which was sold on YouTube. KSI is a massive star in his native UK, which makes the numbers all the more shocking. However, given the event started at 5 a.m. UK time, that certainly could’ve been a contributing factor.
Paul and KSI each made $900,000 for the bout. KSI noted he’s done boxing for now, while Paul continues to express interest in furthering his combat sports career.
What do you think about the numbers KSI and Paul pulled in?
