Former UFC star Melvin Guillard wanted by law enforcement after being allegedly involved in a bar fight and as a result, he is in hot water.

TMZ Sports is reporting that Guillard allegedly got into a fight at a Colorado bar where he attacked and then knocked out a man while in the brawl. As a result, the cops have been notified and is on the hunt for the former UFC/Bellator MMA fighter.

The media outlet was able to get surveillance footage from the bar of the brawl that shows Guillard getting into with several people. The incident went down at Bar Standard in Denver around 2 AM on Monday morning.

By looking at the footage, you can see Guillard, who is easily recognizable due to his bleach blonde hair, punching a man in the face which resulted in the guy being KO’d before he hit the floor.

The person was clearly unconscious, which led to other people running to him to check on him. This is when things got out of control and just flat out wrong as a female attempted to get back at Guillard, who then hit her too.

TMZ Sports then reached out to the Denver Police Department who told them that several witnesses were able to identify the attacker as Guillard. Now, it’s a waiting game as a warrant has been issued for his arrest. As of this writing, he is still free and has yet to be caught by the police.

He holds a pro-MMA record of 32-21-2 where he has lost his last nine fights. He spent the majority of his fighting career while fighting under the UFC banner where he first participated in the Ultimate Fighter 2.

As a result, he was later signed by the Las Vegas-based promotion where he went 12-9 with one no-contest. After 22 fights, he was released in 2014.

In recent years, he fought for the Viacom-owned promotion, Bellator MMA, and even participated in bare-knuckle fighting.

The World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation (WBKFF) signs two more former UFC fighters as bare-knuckle promotions continue to be the latest trend in combat sports.

The upstart promotion will host its first event later this year in October. The (WBKFF) made headlines last month when they officially announced a contest between Chris Leben and Phil Baroni. The promotion took to Instagram to announce the signing of two more UFC veterans- Josh Neer and Melvin Guillard. The (WBKFF) also inked former TUF 26 contestant Christina Marks.

Neer (36-16-1) hasn’t competed in MMA since getting knocked out by surging UFC light heavyweight Anthony Smith at Victory FC 47 back in 2016. “The Dentist” posted a record of six wins and nine defeats in his two runs with the UFC.

Guillard (32-21-2, 3 NC) has competed in nearly every relevant combat sports promotion during the last ten years. However, “The Young Assassin’s” best days may be behind him. Guillard has gone 0-8 with one NC in his last nine fights dating back to a 2014 defeat to Justin Gaethje.

Marks (8-10) lone appearance in the octagon was a loss at the hands of Montana De La Rosa during The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale.

The (WBKFF) will debut this fall, and with an already promising stable of fighters, it should prove to be an exciting night of fights.

It’s widely understood that in order to compete at the highest level in any sport, athletes must be supremely disciplined and make sacrifices in their personal lives to be able to perform at their best.

For professional MMA fighters, it goes without saying that staying up late partying, drinking alcohol, and taking recreational drugs are things to avoid, especially in the build-up to a fight, but for some, it seems the temptation is too strong to resist.

In this article we’ll look at the lives of 10 MMA stars who became so seduced by the party lifestyle that even the daunting prospect of an upcoming fight looming large on the horizon wasn’t enough to stop them from succumbing to their base instincts, and furthermore show how this rarely lead to a happy ending in the long run.

Jon Jones

As the UFC’s light heavyweight champion and one of the sport’s all-time greats, Jon Jones appeared to have the world at his feet, but that wasn’t enough for the self-destructive star.

Though he’d had minor issues in the past, alarm bells started ringing loudly in early 2015 when Jones tested positive for cocaine just weeks prior to his UFC 182 title defense against Daniel Cormier.

His various run-ins with both the law and USADA since are well documented, but in an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Jones gave further insight into just how out-of-control his behavior had been over the years.

“I had this crazy thing that I would do where I would party one week before every fight and I did that throughout my whole career,” Jones confessed to Rogan. “…I would get blacked out wasted.

“My logic was if this guy was to beat me somehow I can look myself in the mirror and say that I lost because I got hammered the week before the fight. It was a safety net. I did it my whole career.”

The 30-year-old Jones was recently stripped of his light heavyweight title for the third time in three years after testing positive for steroids and is now facing another potentially lengthy suspension in the prime of his career.
